Beautiful, quietly located wellness hotel. First of all I would like to mention the positive:Quiet room, attentive staff, very appealing food (breakfast and dinner), very good service, but I also have critical comments: the loungers in the two relaxation rooms are definitely not enough (especially since day guests can still book the wellness area). I would describe the relaxation room directly in the sauna area as a relaxation room (there is a drinks bar in the room, there are always disturbances from sauna visitors and the staff). Then only 1 relatively small log cabin sauna. I think the wellness area is a bit too small for a 4 star hotel. I found the food offerings in the wellness area for lunch and afternoon very simple. The accompanying drinks were well paid for. Then the website advertises that the parking spaces are directly at the hotel. The parking spaces directly at the hotel were very limited. There were additional parking spaces about 100 meters away. Away from the hotel and still not in sufficient numbers. Drinks were available in the room for a fee. You can even pay 1 euro for the coffee capsule. I don't know that. The website advertises that you can book your preferred appointment for treatments in advance. I tried via email. The result was: you will be told your application date upon arrival. Then I gave up. Overall, hotel with room for improvement. Not 4 stars

Wellness = feel good!If not here, then where?We are still amazed by our stay. Starting with a very friendly, warm welcome at reception, the ambience of the house, which shows great attention to detail, and our cozy room with a view over the Murgtal. The large, partly cozy wellness area leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. Large outdoor pool, indoor pool, various hot tubs, different saunas and the great, partly rustically decorated relaxation rooms (some with water beds) really ensure deep relaxation and special feelings of well-being. A little tip: In the “Schwitzstüble” you can sweat at the “Stammtisch” and even order a wheat beer (or sparkling wine) at the push of a button. Come immediately. Just wellness!The day began with a bombastic breakfast and in the evening there was an impressive, very tasty dinner where you had the choice of three main courses, but also two starters and two desserts.It's unbelievable what was conjured up there every day.We enjoyed a nightcap in the cozy house bar and let the evening end.Our special thanks go to the very attentive and friendly staff (with whom you can also laugh sometimes.)Salt shaker: We had problems with the breakfast egg with the coarse-grained salt mill that was on the table. When we reported this to the waitress, a "normal" salt shaker was there within 2 minutes, and it was there every morning for the rest of our stay. Really an all-round great service that gave us an unforgettable stay.

Highlight positive:Very tasty, varied and creative dinner with friendly service, especially the starter buffet is a highlight!The breakfast was also very pleasant.The location is picturesque in the countryside, on the edge of the forest and invites you to switch off.Unfortunately, apart from that, we were rather disappointed:We had a standard room and the rate according to our booking confirmation was 266.00 euros per night.The room was renovated and superficially clean. Still definitely not worth 4 stars. Stained sofa, mold in the shower, dirty carpet, I also stood in a screw that was in the carpet. In the bathroom there was neither a shower enclosure nor a toothbrush cup, nor a single cosmetic product as should be common in this class. The towels and bathrobes were worn and smelled musty.When we asked about slippers, we were informed that they could be purchased at the reception, which was also questionable in a certified wellness hotel.In the wellness area there was only a classic sauna and exactly 2 infusions for all hotel guests who were fully booked. In the relaxation room there are cobwebs and dirt in the corners such as hair etc.The afternoon snack was reduced to the cheapest and there was mold in the cabbage salad.Overall, the hotel is outdated and the renovation has been carried out superficially. There is a cool atmosphere among the employees too.To top it off, when we checked out we were charged a higher room rate. When I asked why, the explanation was that our standard room seemed to correspond to a more expensive category. Although communicated differently at CheckIn.We were cheekily fobbed off with the following: After all, mistakes are human.

This is our second time here. When we first visited, the natural pond and relaxation area were under construction. Since then a lot has changed and of course improved. The area where you can enjoy your culinary delights is very attractive and the service is always very friendly. The spa area is very lovingly designed and there are plenty of sun loungers here. The room was also great. It would have been nice if you could have used the spa area for a bit after checking out... although you can for €20 per person. but would have been a great goodie. Always my pleasure! You deserve the stars!!

Before you read my article you should know that I trained in the hotel business and I have worked in the best hotels. Personally speaking, I cannot recommend this hotel in any way. I have never seen a hotel treat its guests like this when they are in distress or have a criticism. My girlfriend has been visiting this hotel for 20 years. She had a serious accident in the summer and we had to cancel the booking at short notice. You sublet my friend's booking directly. Because I know that there is always a waiting list in this house of people who would like to vacation there and there are also a lot of people who spontaneously take advantage of a wellness vacation. They then replied that they would have to see whether they could re-let my time period. Then they wrote me a message saying they couldn't rent for one night. But I had a friend, a retired couple, who wanted to take advantage of this spontaneously. I wrote a reservation request from my email address on behalf of my friends. Then you wrote back that there were some offers out and that unfortunately you could no longer accept any new inquiries. Now the hotel insists that I pay a night worth 180 euros. For me this behavior is absolutely incomprehensible. They also do not offer any alternatives for people with gluten intolerance. The guest should then eat rice. But the way you behave when you express criticism is completely unprofessional and not service-oriented. They even banned me from the house because I criticized this behavior. For this family, only profit is important, everything else is put aside. I also wanted to pay for a double room and move into it alone. You said that you wouldn't do that because you would then lose sales of drinks. I'm just at a loss for words.

Very nice hotel, quiet, very welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms are very modern and clean, the menu offers 6 courses and is very generous and very very good, the breakfast is great, you can find everything there, the indoor and outdoor Spa area is one of the most beautiful we have made in the Black Forest.We stayed there for 4 days and found no false notes. We will come back, well done.

You really feel welcome and in good hands here.From the reception, to the wellness area, the dinner, the bar and the breakfast, everything is top and there is nothing to complain about.The food particularly stood out. No matter whether it was the lunch snack, the dinner (which was phenomenal) or the breakfast. Nothing was left to be desired here and everything was prepared and served with a lot of love.
