We were spontaneously looking for somewhere to stay overnight in Weißenfels. Booked by phone 3 days in advance. Inn closed, so no dinner and no breakfast. We were basically cashed in between the door and the hinge in the stairwell. The house seems pretty run down. The room was very dingy, dirt on the window sills, hair on the fitted sheet, hair in the shower. Sorry, but the furniture looked like it was from bulky waste, no matching bed linen. The table top and bedside table stuck.

We were just eating. The food tasted good and was within the normal price range. The premises are a mirror of the city. Run down, dingy and unkempt. The staff tried to be friendly, but in my opinion they were overbearing and intrusive! All in all, it's a pub with normal food that no one will miss if it closes.

Only the hotel is rated here, not the restaurant: OK for €50 including breakfast, but no more. The room was clean and had the most necessary things, but the mattress was old and squeaked loudly. The breakfast was very poor and could satisfy basic needs, but it wasn't really enjoyable. After a while I was the only person at breakfast, so some music would have helped the ambience. I would also have liked a current local newspaper. But apparently a lot of corners are being cut here to ensure this price. Storing my bike in the garage was pleasing. The staff was OK, but not particularly chatty. Tolerable for one night when everything else is full or too expensive.

We were there at 11 a.m. today and wanted to eat the daily special, cabbage rolls. We were turned away on the grounds that the daily special was only available for guests who came every day, otherwise everyone would run out too quickly. We looked at each other and thought we were in the wrong movie. This has nothing to do with hospitality. It would perhaps be nice if it were stated in the display case that the offer does not apply to everyone.
