Filthy room. The room smelled like a cigarette butt had just been lit. The carpet is dirty. The bathroom is downright bad. Full of mold. Broken and dirty joints/sealant edges. Black spots on the ceiling. Downright bad and still the face of the receptionist at half past six when you complain about this. Everything but recommended!

The room looks nothing like the room in the photo. Very old and noisy. Too bad to spend the night.

Well... if you're going to put flyers in your rooms prohibiting home delivery, you have to make sure that your own food is of high quality. So I will never book at a hotel from the Fletcher chain again.

A comfort room with a balcony was booked. There were problems at check-in because the receptionist was not aware of the booking process with payment via PayPal at booking.com. So they were of the opinion that we still had to pay. Only after I showed my bank statements(!) online was it OK.About the room: As I said, it should be a comfort room. Room was clean so far. However, the balcony was full of cigar and cigarette butts and old leaves. The two rattan chairs and the table were completely dirty, so sitting comfortably there was not possible. The inside bathroom had no working ventilation, very bad. There were two large mold spots on the ceiling, the shower hose was torn at the connection and the fittings were broken and very difficult to move. The overall condition of this room can be described as pretty shabby. Beds, however, were OK.Breakfast was OK. 3-4 types of sausage, cheese. Scrambled and boiled egg. Different types of cheese. Good selection of fruit. Bread, rolls, sweet pastries. So everything is there. However, the coffee was unreasonable from the 10 liter warming dispenser. But you can order coffee specialties and hot chocolate, for example, but you won't be informed of this beforehand. We were not charged for the extra requests. All in all, you can definitely stay overnight there. However, I think the price is excessive for the condition of the room. The staff ignores you until you speak to them, but then they are friendly. The location is ideally located in the countryside. You can easily walk or cycle there. You can reach the middle of Roermond in about 15 minutes by car.I cannot recommend dinner at the hotel. Very bad price-performance ratio. Schnitzel was m.m.n. TK and dripping with oil. Noodles were swimming in the sauce. It's better to drive into the city, which is what we did after our experience on the first evening.

We all know that most Fletchers do not excel in luxury and modern appearance, and that even overdue maintenance is the cause of less than hygienic conditions. But if you come for 1 or 2 nights and you don't set the bar too high, there are certainly Fletcher hotels where you can spend a few wonderful days on a small budget. After all, and this is my opinion, you don't necessarily come to spend the whole day in the hotel. You go out, visit cities, walk, whatever, and then the short time you spend in the hotel is only a small part of your holiday.Fletcher Landhotel Bosrijk (a bit misleading name because it is not really in a wooded area, but that's beside the point), is located in Asenray according to Google maps. Asenray is a church village in the municipality of Roermond with 883 inhabitants. The hotel is located almost on the border between the Netherlands and Germany. The room we had (April 2023) was the Comfort de Luxe. We booked this because the hotel does not have disabled rooms. But the comfort room is very spacious and the wheelchair can easily pass through (if you move the chairs and table). The beds are fine and the double-glazed tilt-and-turn windows mean you don't hear any noise from the road a little further away. The bathroom has a shower room, but of course not suitable for disabled people. The toilet is also not suitable, because there are no grab rails on the side and the bowl is standard. The mirror is large and the sink is built-in, with enough space for all your junk. The headboard and bedside tables are really antique, but still neat. There is even a clock with a radio in it, and when you open the drawer the plug is loose, and when you plug it into the socket the clock starts running and the radio sounds!Apart from some stains in the carpet and some rusty spots at the bottom of the shower door, this room is neat and clean. The food? Just good, not haute cuisine of course, but the prices reflect that. I may even say that the kitchen does its best to serve a tasty meal for the money. There could be a bit more variety, especially in the areas of fish and vegetarian. If you don't eat meat, the choice is really minimal. The interior of the hotel seems to radiate luxury, and if you look from a distance it seems that way. But the chairs in the restaurant were all worn out. It's best to just not pay attention. The staff is very friendly and does their best to make you feel comfortable. There is only 1 disabled parking space in the car park, and it is not very spacious, but it is doable. The entrance has automatic sliding doors, but with an electric wheelchair (the type we have) you just can't get over the irritating threshold without help, and once you're inside you bump into the next obstacle; two swing doors with closers. Not possible if you are in a wheelchair.Anyway, we knew in advance that there were no adapted rooms, but as a hotel you must meet the standards for accessibility for the disabled. All in all 4 stars. Just look through it.
