Unfortunately total chaos with this hotel. The apartment was canceled over the phone. Now they are claiming that this didn't happen and they will charge 80%. Bottomless impudence and no good service

Nice dog hotel with nice people and home-style food.

If you want to treat your dog(s) to a real vacation, the Feriengut is the best place for you! Heavenly!lots of landscape, meadows, forest, water (bathing area for dogs) pure peace, no signs = dogs on a leash!!!The dog can be a dog here informally. Within the holiday estate there is a large fenced-in outdoor area where you can train independently with your four-legged friend as required. There is also agility and sports equipment to practice or simply try out. A hall is available to rent for bad weather days or heat outside.If necessary, experienced trainers from the Illgner family are available to provide advice and assistance.Of course, mistresses and masters can go on vacation too. There are a number of different types of accommodation available to book, and we were impressed by the box spring bed available! Another highlight we found was that we were able to enjoy a breakfast buffet and dinner with half board, so we didn't have to do anything!Advantageously, the respective terraces of the booked accommodations are fenced, so sunbathing without a dog on a leash means endless relaxation. Only sun is not possible to order.The operators are available at any time and resolve issues when necessary. Whether you're traveling by bike, on foot or by car, there are excursion destinations for every taste. The Müritz region is simply a fantastic “world” for vacation.The only drawback is that you can't rent a houseboat with a dog. I think this will develop in the next few years. After all, it is generally always more relaxed to travel with your four-legged friend.We hope to be able to check in with the Illgner family again in the fall of the year!

We spent our first vacation here with our dog. (room + half board + seminar) and we couldn't have wished for more. Dinner was a good home-style meal, very tasty and always plentiful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully bright. The entire area is very well maintained and the surrounding area is simply beautiful and idyllic.We were also able to take some new things with us from the seminar for everyday life and we will be increasingly incorporating other components again. The positive influence was already clearly visible after the first few days of the seminar and the days were almost not long enough to fit all the activities together.

I came here recently with my Hovawart, Bero to attend a weeks training seminar for him (and me, to be honest)! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon after a long, uneventful 600km drive from NRW. There is enough free car parking at the front and loads at the back of the property.Birgit met us and gave us a key to our room in the main part of the property. It had two single beds, a small round table, a couple of chairs, a sofa, a wardrobe & a flat screen TV. There was a separate bathroom with good shower. Let's say that the furnishings were functional and leave it at that.I brought my own kettle, tea bags etc. so that I could start each day with a decent mug of English breakfast tea. What more can you expect from an Englishman in Germany?I enjoyed both the communal buffet breakfast and varied evening dinners at this establishment. Peter, was our main host here and ensured that the draft, local beer flowed nicely!Birgit managed the training sessions and she gave our tiny party (just three dogs and their owners) loads of tips and tricks. Much of the training was done in a large hall at the back.After the morning training each day there are loads of places to go on walks and to practice what was learned. This is a lovely countryfied part of north east Germany and the numerous lakes here are beautiful.All in all, I was very pleased that I came, Bero seemed to be very happy and the challenge is now to find a suitable date in the calendar to return, this time with my wife :-)

The Ilgner family is extremely hospitable, courteous and has an open ear for their guests. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The food is always good and plentiful. The accommodation is versatile, from smaller rooms to holiday apartments to bungalows, everything is possible and always very clean!Dog training really appeals to us and has already helped us a lot in everyday life. We are not dog athletes and have nevertheless discovered the fun of “working” with the dog! The methodology can also be easily implemented at home in the garden, or in the living room or on the dog walk and therefore does not always require a large training area. You will be picked up at your personal training stand and supported from then on. Even topics that are not part of the original training motto are always treated in a solution-oriented manner. Birgit and Christian support their customers/guests with their four-legged friends in all matters with an open ear! We've been there for the second time, feel very comfortable there and have already registered for the next seminar, even though we're just driving 550 km!

A nicely laid out building complex with a main house, outbuildings and bungalows that look pretty from the outside and its own small beach about a 20 minute walk away. If you want to do dog sports, you will definitely find good conditions here, but I find this accommodation rather unsuitable for a normal holiday with a dog. I find the name and the internet presentation to be a bit misleading. By a country resort/holiday property I mean a higher quality and larger property. My holiday apartment was nice but with very cheap furniture, all a bit rickety and not very practical. For example, there were no hooks for dog leashes, a coat rack in the entrance area, sockets on the bed, space to set up kitchen appliances (coffee machine, kettle, toaster). I also expect professional and friendly communication from an accommodation company, regardless of type, which unfortunately was not the case here.

This is our fourth time here and, as always, we are very satisfied. Everything just fits. We recommend.
