In the middle of Rheinsberg. Parking possible on the side street. Went there on Friday evening without a reservation. Food was very tasty and quickly served at the table. I didn't know the beer either, but it was also very tasty. Gladly again

You stroll through the city to find a restaurant suitable for your hunger. You can see two gentlemen enjoying schnitzel and cordon bleu (apparently homemade and fresh) in front of the restaurant. Whereupon we decided to eat there. You were also served directly and received the drinks you ordered (unfortunately warm Cola & Spezi). In the restaurant we were given the menu straight away and looked at it a bit perplexed as these dishes were not listed. We then spoke to the waitress and asked about these dishes. Unfortunately, all I got was a clumsy “Only the bosses get that”. It's a real shame, how is the guest supposed to know which of the guests in front of the restaurant is the guest and/or the boss!?

First of all, you have to realize that in a holiday resort like Rheinsberg most restaurants close between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. This seems quite early, especially in the bright peak holiday season of June-August and when the weather is nice.Here, too, at "Junger Fritz", a restaurant on the local street with a rustic interior and some outdoor seating on the footpath, we were lucky on our first visit to have just managed to catch the chef. In any case, we received a friendly welcome and we liked the food so much that we went back the next day (a little earlier this time). The delicious butcher's brawn with fried potatoes is particularly recommended, but the homemade fried herrings also deserve a mention.The portions are ok in size, but not generous. A few more of the delicious fried potatoes... and some side salad don't cost much and should be included in the prices quoted.In addition, the young man behind the bar knows how to pour beer (even though he's certainly not allowed to drink it yet), so you get a "flower" that some other long-established bartenders can't manage. And €3.80 for a 0.4 beer is okay, especially since it's a regional brand and not the usual standard variety.And when the landlady says “Food is ready!” When you come to the table, you can look forward to good Mecklenburg home cooking... and the day of your vacation has a feel-good ending...

So I have to say I am completely satisfied with the restaurant, and very satisfied with the overnight stay. I've been staying there from Monday to Thursday for over a month. And I can't write anything bad about it, because the rooms are always clean and tidy! All I can say about eating in the restaurant is that since I've been there I've been staying overnight and have always been there for dinner. I always enjoyed it very much, and my colleagues enjoyed it very much too. I'm not alone in my assessment. I can only write about the service from the staff based on my experiences. Always very friendly and accommodating. Conclusion from me it is recommended!

We were there for dinner with the family.A first look at the menu was promising. Unfortunately, it turned out that the prices for the food were completely overpriced. For example, I paid EUR 8.80 for a mini portion of seasoned meat. The bowl in which the spiced meat was served had a maximum diameter of 5 cm. We also found my wife's meal (salad) and our child's (pancakes) not appropriate for the respective price of EUR 8.80.

Very tasty food. I had steak with champions and fries, my wife had pike perch fillet with potatoes and our companion had liver with onions and mashed potatoes. All very tasty. We'd love to come back.

We went there for dinner on June 22, 2024. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before. This restaurant cannot be recommended.The beef roulade was ordered for my husband and that for mePork steak with champions and fries. The first meal was OK, but my meal was probably the sole of a shoe. When I complained politely, the answer came from the kitchen that it can't be, we're canceling the meal. I said: then bring me the roulade too. The answer: No, the cook is stubborn and the meat would be tough.I was then left sitting without food, and at the very end there was only a small comment about this. An absolute no go for me, obviously this house doesn't need to serve its guests properly.

We only ate here. Home cooking. As a main course, plain schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes and as dessert, pancakes with apple sauce. It's all ok.
