On the edge of the small town ofSchauburg, an inn that looks like it's from a bygone era, not so romantic but so old-fashioned. Kitchen service down to earth and also good, but the service in our case was unacceptable. Food is served, I politely ask for salt and a little mayonnaise. The answer: "It can take a while, I have a lot to do and don't know when I'll be able to get out again (we were sitting outside). I eloquently answer "...I can get the things myself if you don't have time..." The rest of the "service" was just as slow, I asked repeatedly if I could get another beer, so I didn't really see any sales talent here, it didn't look like there were any crowds coming here and the place was in for a golden age. Maybe that's precisely why?

Super nice, uncomplicated people. Really delicious home cooking at moderate prices. Not a posh hostel but great overnight accommodations with a great breakfast. We thought it was great and will be back next year.✌️😎

We had lunch there and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and remains nice and attentive even when there are a lot of guests. Only lost one point because I don't like the old style that much. But it's just a personal feeling :)

Today we had dinner at Gasthaus Himmel with 7 people. We really liked it, the food was very tasty, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The meals were inexpensive. The salad was freshly prepared and very tasty and included in the price. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back here. We can recommend this inn. Unfortunately you couldn't pay by card, but that doesn't detract from the good overall rating.

One star for the really delicious salad.We picked up our dinner.The rest was an absolute disaster.I ask myself, why does a Jägerschnitzel have paprika in the sauce? Unfortunately also mushrooms from the jar.There was also a watery ready-made sauce and the schnitzel was completely over salted.You want to support the local gastronomy and are given something like that.We will never eat there and recommend it YVery unfortunate!

We were there with 14 people to eat goose.There were two geese for us for 31 euros per person. Plus red cabbage, dumplings, kale, lamb's lettuce and celery salad.Every side dish was immediately obtained upon request and ordered to the table.The geese were very crispy and spicy. Simply perfect.The service was very good and attentive.We will 100% come back and wish you continued success.Ps.You can't pay by card there, so take cash with you :-)
