First time having smoked beer. Taste like someone rescued a cask from a burning brewery. Not my cup of tea.Food was great. Ordered the pork schnitzel and Nuremberg bratwurst. Both excellent and I especially loved the pork salad with the schnitzel.

A beautiful old house in the middle of Bamberg.Old only refers to the age of the house, the rooms are great.On the ground floor there is a rustic brewery with good food and prices.

The food was delicious but an hour-long wait couldn't be explained to me. Some people came after us who got their food before us and shortly after we got our food, people sat down next to us and got their food within 10 minutes. So either they had forgotten us or they didn't like us there.

Nice old place for a beer. We went whilst kitchen was closed so couldn't sample the food. It was busy with plenty of people eating and drinking. The smoke beer was superb! A strange locking mechanism on the toilets, presumably to keep passers by from using them, meant you have to wait to be buzzed in.

Nice brewery restaurant with Franconian dishes. Rustic paneled interior with several small and large rooms. The beer was tasty, the cooking was quick. The service staff was consistently friendly and on the ball😉

Never experienced such unfriendly service! When we politely asked if we could sit in the beer garden, we were insulted...no staff, etc.This place doesn't need it...

We ate very well there. The salads were all homemade and the potato salad was really tasty. Despite the fact that it was very busy / the restaurant was full, the food came within a few minutes. The tablecloths weren't particularly clean, but you can't expect that from this place. As soon as guests left the place, new ones immediately sat there.The service staff took a while to arrive at the beginning, which is why we first took our own menus, with permission.Quite under stress, tense and worn out, the waitress was initially quite taciturn / rude.But it's all too human given the amount of work that has to be done here every day from morning to night. That's why we don't understand the bad reviews here. That's not fair. Waiting is a tough job. Running, carrying, keeping your eyes and ears focused everywhere and always. This is NOT easy.A little understanding and respect for the “servants”, perhaps even a few nice words, can make so many things easier and help both sides.The guest is looked after in a friendly manner and recognition is just as good for the service staff as it is for any other person.Because ONLY operation is not. There's a lot that goes into it.Girls, you're doing a great job there and you're a well-coordinated team in the kitchen. All the best and many nice guests

I can't rate the room. We only ate, but eleven of us got a table for dinner without a reservation. Everyone really enjoyed the food and we were served nicely and had a good time.

Not recommended,Eating a disaster. Not edible.Complained at the beginning and didn't eat any more, but paid in full. Food was left almost untouched.

This time we just wanted to drink a beer and would have gone to the entrance or outside area for that.Apparently the brewery doesn't need to do business quickly and easily.The waitress didn't even greet us and told us with such arrogant behavior that they wouldn't give or serve any beer and that we could leave straight away if we didn't reserve a table.It's a shame, all the other breweries in Bamberg are different.You have lost us as guests!
