This is the second reinstatement of my original review because the owner once again responded in a condescending manner and again used my full name against my wishes. This is a privacy attitude, holla the forest fairy. In my review I criticized the fact that there is no possibility for tent campers to charge a cell phone for free or to cook in a place protected from the rain. According to the operator, I was wrong on both counts. Misunderstanding? So let the owner tell you: Both are fine. This would also make my original statement about the poor price/performance ratio obsolete. But one more addendum: According to the operator, I was either too blind to look or too lazy to ask. In fact, I didn't ask about power outlets again. Another camper who was there the same day told me that she had already asked and that there were only the pay sockets in the washhouse. As I said, there may be a misunderstanding, so I won't insist on this point. The only place I could see as a sheltered cooking option was the restaurant's veranda, which seemed a bit rude to me. But I will say that this was by no means my first visit to a campsite, but it was my first where I didn't immediately find the available electrical outlets or shelters. Instead of blaming the guest, the operator could think about showing these things when registering. My original three star review has now become one. I didn't think I would have to endure such a keyboard war. I would have preferred to read the operator's other responses to negative reviews beforehand.

A very nice, quiet campsite located by a stream. Operator very nice and humorous. Simple, very clean showers and sanitary facilities. Moderate prices, also suitable for larger motorhomes. Fresh bread rolls every day. We really liked it and I think we will come back.

Location is nice, WiFi is great, the restaurant is good, the couple who run it are nice and friendly, the plumbing is old, musty, damp with toilet flies and the lighting in the toilet cells is dim, reasonably clean. There is a lot of room for improvement. No card payment - Reason: Device defective… we won't be coming back.

Pitches are large and easily accessible. Very nicely taken. The place is in a quiet location and not far from the Rhine. Sanitary facilities are older, but very clean and everything worked. Paper towels would have been nice. Everything else was very nice.

A really nice campsite. Friendly welcome and introduction. The food in the restaurant is great at fair prices. As you can read in some comments, the shower and toilet area is a bit old but still absolutely ok. But the place is really nice and not a mass event. Free WiFi, electricity via coin machine. The sanitary facilities would be even cleaner if different users could be taught how to use floor squeegees and toilet brushes.Very nice location in a side valley on a small stream with lots of shady trees and a view of the castle. Absolute peace. Beautiful hiking area directly from the site. Almost 1000 meters to the Rhine, approx. 1500 meters to the jetty. The two owners are very friendly and helpful. For those who like cashless payments: There is no card payment here... Nice. We'll definitely be back.

Quiet and pleasant campsite. Clean and shaded. We spent 4 nights with our friends, them in a van and us in a roof tent. The pitches were spacious and respected the privacy of everyone because they were camping in length. Perfect stay

We're not actually campers and rented a motorhome to gain some experience. The route, Munich-Lower Rhine & back. One stop, "Camping Friedenau. A very clean, well-kept, familiar, rather small place. The location, slightly above the main road, a train route and the Rhine. Absolute peace and quiet in a very beautiful, wooded environment is guaranteed. The icing on the cake is that Restaurant and above all the very friendly, humorous and helpful hosts. The bottom line is that this was a thoroughly positive experience

A great, quiet place. We actually only wanted to stay for 2 days, but it ended up being 7 days. That says it all already. The peace and quiet was brilliant. The couple who run the place are super friendly and nice. You feel welcome here, whether with a child or a dog. The food offered was very tasty and plentiful. The sanitary facilities convey a nostalgic flair (camping like 30 years ago), were clean and hot water was guaranteed. We felt extremely comfortable and wish the couple running the property all the best and love for the future. Thank you for the great time.
