We were just there spontaneously for dinner. If you order a schnitzel and hear a knock in the kitchen shortly afterwards, then you know it's still freshly cooked. Rustic home-style cooking like from mothers, very tasty. The landlady was very warm and accommodating.

I really want hotels like this to be successful, as it is run by a very hospitable hostess, Anna. It can offer not only a varied homemade menu, but also live music.We lived in a small, cozy, slightly old-fashioned room. There was a kettle and tea stickers in the room. Small common terrace. This hotel just happened to meet us on the way, and Anna is always ready to answer your calls and wishes. It turns out there is excellent home cooking here, which is nice and surprising in these parts. Also, you can arrange in advance - and music will be waiting for you, organized by Richard. The wine is from a local vineyard, and these winegrowers live next door. Isn't this amazing? Be sure to take a walk around the area and see how hard these nice people work so we can enjoy a glass of wine afterwards. Our early morning walk will be remembered for a long time. This is a historic town with a fortress, towers, views of the Rhine and a canyon-like street. This is not visible from the highway, and it may seem that this is an ordinary place. But this is not true at all. set aside at least a day. We regret that our itinerary was planned in advance in such a way that there was no time to stay here for a couple of days. We heartily recommend it. We would really like to come back here again.

Wow! That's how service works. Unfortunately we were only there for one night but the service offered there has unfortunately become rare in Germany. The delicious food was freshly prepared just for us. Honest good food. The breakfast was great with a great selection. The boss is just awesome, so much honest friendliness. We will definitely go there again!I'm still completely thrilled.

We were staying in Steeg Ort about 2 km from Bacharach and were walking into town for an evening meal and not looking forward to the walk back home.Anna and Richard saved the day. They happened to be out the front enjoying the evening so we asked if they did meals. They welcomed us into their pension and Anna quickly prepared a beautiful meal that was fresh tasty and filling. Richard gave us directions to a walk trail that we took after our meal. It was a beautiful walk through the vineyards overlooking the valley into Bacharach. We returned a couple of nights later for another delicious meal, fun conversation and some great guitar music from Richard.We’ll definitely recommend this little gem to our friends and family that might be visiting the area.

Our family arrived in the evening for our stay in Bacharach. Our B&B didn't offer an evening meal, so we found Anna at Bie der Post. She welcomed us in for a late meal, helping us choose what would work for our varied appetites as a family of five. We enjoyed a local bottle of Riesling and music from Richard during our meal. After dinner the musicians in my family played and sang with Richard while I visited with Anna. It was a lovely end to a long travel day. Highly recommend wandering up the main road in Bacharach to stay or dine at Anna's pension/restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay for a couple of days. I haven't been to the Area before and didn't know about the significance of the Town Bacharach. The rooms were clean and quite, beds were comfortable. The days were a bit cold the time we were there so we didn't use the Patio on the back. The Breakfast was plenty and set up very nice for us.

Friendly hosts, cooked a nice evening meal which we ate in convivial surroundings.Rooms somewhat dated and in need of a bit of love.It was a slight shock to discover they didn't accept cards.Reasonable value all in all. Oh, they were very helpful.

Beautiful. On the way to our actual hotel two doors down, we stopped here late in the evening for a cold beer. The host couple is very friendly and attentive, you immediately feel at home here. The next day we had breakfast here which was also great, there was really nothing missing. Then Anna showed us a room that was really nicely furnished, very clean and with a terrace. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back and stay here.
