optimal accommodation for Rhine in Flames, rooms clean and tidy, very good breakfast and the dinner is world class, I would say the best in the whole place. . .The innkeeper is unique and always has a joke on his face.

We had a great stay in this beautiful, family hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.Breakfast and dinner are rich and very tasty.A top address for hikers!!! We really enjoyed our Rheinsteig hikes and the cozy evenings in the hotel with our nice and funny host.Only the cider was terrible 😂We will come back.

The food was delicious. The service staff friendly. The landlord, on the other hand, was really unfriendly and listless for no reason. We felt completely unwanted.I can't even begin to understand the explicitly positive reviews about the host. Truly incredible. No review for the rooms as we only ate.

We hike with 9 women on the Rheinsteig. We wanted to have a coffee here while we waited for the boat. Although we were allowed in upon request, we first received instructions on how to behave.Despite the abstinence of all other guests, there was outrage that we put two tables together. Then there was an announcement to take backpacks from the bench. This in an annoyed and unfriendly tone. We have never felt so unwelcome and then left.

My review concerns the hotel's restaurant. We had reserved a table for three people and a dog.The dining room is simply and tastefully furnished. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the innkeeper, shown to our table and our drink orders were immediately taken. This and the starter soup were served quickly and were very appetizing. The taste was excellent. We tried the specialty drink “Rheinsteigler” and were applauded. The menu is appealing and the food is more than reasonably priced in terms of portion size and taste. Everything was top notch.Conclusion:100% recommended!

I spent one night here on my Rheinsteig hike. The landlord was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast was okay (and you can take something with you at no cost). Unfortunately, the wall to the neighboring room is a bit thin and I was unlucky that the TV was playing very loudly until late in the evening. But the hotel can't do anything about the latter, so I would still come here again ;-)

We had a great overnight stay here. Room was simple but very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and you could make sandwiches to take away. The highlight was the host, who gave us many valuable tips. Thanks!

A three night stay, we could not have enjoyed our experience any better due to the kindness, and humor, of our host - Edgar Kirdorf. …
