The most serious thing first: The operator's son definitely embezzled payments from me, i.e. did not pass them on to his father.* READ below! But first things first:Since I often have to do work in Timmendorf, I was often a guest in the house; sometimes continuously for several weeks or even months; and therefore I think I can evaluate it fairly reflectively. With a price of €25 per night, you probably won't find cheaper accommodation in Timmendorfer Strand. Of course you can't expect too much. Here I always had the only room that was acceptable to me and, in my opinion, the best room in the house.[Room 1] Located in the basement of the house, I always felt relatively comfortable there. If you have a obsession for cleanliness and are bothered by a few cobwebs, this is definitely the place for you. (See also the photos of other guests' reviews)I'm not so sensitive about this, but I don't want to artificially upset myself.*I always had my [cash] payments receipted at regular intervals. At some point there was a difference of 2 days, which I knew 100% had been paid for.Only later did I realize that I had paid exactly the amount in question, unlike usual, for Junior. This one - in his mid-40s - lives there and is practically a girl for everything. The controversy over the two days only came to light when the senior handed me the receipt again. My fallacy (wrong) was that the senior (I estimate him to be around 75-85 years old) might no longer be completely mentally “on the ball”, and from then on I avoided paying him; Instead, I always paid to the junior.Sometime in January I happen to run into the senior in the house and he says to me *Are they not doing well financially?* Me: Why? Because, ...according to his calculation, I would be several hundred euros in arrears and therefore still owed.So the junior had not passed on to his father at least half of the payments made to him over the weeks, which now did not appear in the accounting records. Now there was a heated dispute because I had to openly say what was evident here. The senior, in my opinion. A person of integrity and correctness naturally believes his son or does not want to believe it.I paid exactly the small amount that they actually had to pay, not €1 more; and checked out. Conclusion:With this in mind, of course I won't give it more than 1 star.If I hadn't been treated so badly here, I would give it 3 stars considering the price. But only the 2 basement rooms are halfway passable,I wouldn't even recommend the others in the house as an emergency solution.

I was there four nights. It was underground. The rooms were musty and smelled of smoke! Mattresses are worn out and old. Bathroom tiles are infested with mold. The breakfast was a complete disappointment! Every morning the same salami and cheese from Aldi packaging. I will definitely not go there again and can only advise everyone to avoid this guesthouse!

Very friendly landlord. Breakfast was tasty, could be a little more extensive. Rooms were clean, but need some renovation. Soap was missing. Otherwise it was good.

Right from the start I can say that this house cannot be recommended. I will also no longer visit this house. Room not clean. Wet room is unacceptable. Not clean sink broken.Water damage to the ceiling in the hallway was not renovated. Lamp in the hallway broken, see photoThe blind tape for the window is torn and broken, see photos. The staff is friendly. Breakfast room is fine and so is the food. The house is just too old. This requires a lot of renovation work and modernization. The rooms are also very noisy...The priceI paid, but it could be €10 less per night. This accommodation is an absolute no-goSorry, but that's how it is.If you just want to stay overnight it might still be possible.

A quaint little family business with heart. The rooms are quite dated but clean. Fitters are even offered an extra discount. It is extremely quiet and the operators are calm and reserved. Here you have the feeling that you can talk about every special request. There is now even ZDF reception again.

Spartan furnished 6 square meters, mini bathroom where you can't fall over because it's very narrow, TV reception with flagger picture or no signal at all. The room is clean but no longer up to date - you get the impression that there hasn't been any qualitative change in 20 years
