Unfortunately, color alone is not enough! As soon as we arrived I was very disappointed due to the many positive reviews. Check in starts at 4:00 p.m. - we were there at 4:10 p.m. There was no one at the reception, so I rang the bell. Since there was still no one there after 5 minutes, I went around the corner into the restaurant. All the employees sat there at the staff meal. There is no question that the employees have to and should eat, but all at the same time? Questionable. The employee didn't seem too happy about us bothering her... well, I thought, that could happen.Let's look at the rooms. The rooms are generally ok if you like the open concept. (We do it) but I have to deduct points because our bathroom was not 100% clean and there was no water either. We only had one cleaning service in 6 days and when we asked for fresh towels and to put the topper on the bed after 3 days, only the towels were brought. Here too the lady at the reception was very annoyed.Since the balconies had already been “winterized,” there was no demarcation from the adjoining rooms other than an empty flower box.The breakfast: basically ok, if you were lucky enough to be filled up and no, we didn't come for breakfast just before 11 but always between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. No more natural yogurt for 3 days in a row. If there was something more going on and you asked for new scrambled eggs, for example, there was a slight “struggle” in the kitchen because there were also other egg dishes (for an extra charge) that had to be made.At breakfast we and our friends noticed one thing in particular: there were two younger employees in service and one slightly older one. The latter was noticed very unpleasantly, with the other two bossing around and a stressed face instead of just helping out. “Get some ojuice and empty the coffee filter and the table isn’t cleared.” It’s a wonder the two younger ones didn’t just throw it down at some point. We actually noticed these two as extremely polite and positive. Very hardworking and nimble.Basically our stay was okay, but we wouldn't book it again, even though the proximity to the sea was great.

Linen dirty. After a complaint, only the cover of the blanket was replaced. Pillow remained dirty. We then wanted to get a bathrobe/pool towels… At 8:30 p.m. the reception was unoccupied. We rang the bell. Waited 15 minutes... Nothing happened. We looked around. The person also had to look after the bar and “get cocktails ready” there.Disaster regarding personnel planning. There was also a vacuum cleaner standing in the way all night. The breakfast is very boring. The coffee is rubbish and has no aroma. Nor will it be brought. Cutlery, plates, servings… everything has to be collected yourself.Ojuice very sour. No sparkling water.Would never have breakfast there again. But you cannot deselect it when booking. The booked features such as additional blankets/pillows and allergy bed linen were also ignored. There were no rooms with a front view as requested.Positive: the pool. Free still water in the room. Refrigerator (mini).

We just spent 4 nights in the hotel with 3 children and 2 small dogs and would like to leave our feedback. We booked 2 double rooms (next to each other) including breakfast. We found these clean and the dogs and our baby were also taken into consideration: baby beds, dog bowls, poop bags and dog beds - everything was there. A bottle of water was missing in one of the rooms, which was brought immediately upon request. Which brings me overall to the topic of service/employees. All of the employees, without exception, are incredibly friendly, pleasant in their manner and very hard working. For example, we ordered food outside twice and were provided with cutlery and plates without any problems. I don't understand why some people are bothered by the "you" here. The employees are still very respectful and polite. You can also be treated rudely with a “you”, bye the way. Breakfast: very good. Delicious, regional, sustainable. We really liked it. Cappuccino with oat milk if desired? No problem. Cocoa for your son? The only question was: warm, cold, lukewarm? So you can easily see: TOP service and also child-friendly/family-friendly. Pool: very comfortable loungers, air nice and warm, water warm, everything clean and well maintained. Bathrobes and towels are available free of charge at the reception. The children were happy. Fitness room: everything you need is there. Also water and towels. Unfortunately, only mats are missing. Mini minus point. Speaking of minus points. Let's get to the points of criticism, which are really minimal, but there is always room for improvement :). Parking fee at €20 per night is already steep. No electric parking space (or did I not see it?). Dogs at €30 a night per dog: you really have to swallow that. Especially since our minis could have been viewed as a whole dog. Together they are still smaller than a Labrador. I think you could look at it more individually. We paid €240 for the dogs. You can almost renovate the room for that ;). But it's still nice that dogs are allowed at all and are also allowed at breakfast/dinner. Another small point of criticism: The rooms are visually beautifully designed, the bed is super comfortable, but because the sink and shower are so openly integrated into the room, you have a little problem if you want to wash your hands at night wants to shower when the other person/people are sleeping. That's a bit stupid. And the balcony is really carelessly designed. I wouldn't want to go out there in the summer. There is no snack machine or stocked minibar. Too bad too. But everything is within walking distance (Edeka, cafes, etc.) All in all: we would love to come back and really felt at home. Keep it up! The partly very bad reviews don't do the hotel justice and I can't fully understand it. See you soon!

The "The Flamingo" in Timmendorfer Strand is highly recommended: chic, clean with very friendly and competent staff. The counter in the bar is a "must".

Super nice staff, we received a very friendly welcome when we checked in.The hotel is very chic for our taste, a good mix of modern and rustic with great maritime elements. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The bathroom is a bit narrow but well equipped. The breakfast buffet was varied and very well prepared, and the staff is also very accommodating and incredibly friendly. In the basement there is a leisure area for young and old with comfortable seating areas and you can play billiards, darts or table football for just €0.50.

hotelSo we booked a weekend here with the family (7 people and 3 dogs), which our children gave us as a wedding gift. The dogs cost €30 per night and dog, the cars cost €20 per day (although there is no fixed reservation). I was called by the hotel and asked to move my vehicle because there was a generator for an event in the place where my car was parked. I then went to the hotel to move the car. It was only when I asked what that meant that they told us Refund a fee for the parking space, let's see what happens. Then I would have liked to drink a cappuccino, but then I was told that I could only get one from the age of 17... on the grounds that they didn't have time for an event in the evening??? What's that supposed to mean??? I mean, if normal service cannot be guaranteed because of an event, that's pretty sad. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted the room cleaned the next day, we said no and were then given two vouchers for a soft drink, which is commendable. We also received collection slips for bathrobes and towels, our children were neither asked nor have them they get these pickup notes???The rooms are clean and the mattresses on the beds are comfortable, as are the pillows, a dog bed, food and water bowl as well as treats. At the breakfast buffet, the scrambled eggs tasted like fish, some of us had ordered egg specialties that took quite a long time to arrive. The restaurant is "highly priced", but the dishes are very tasty and well prepared, but why a children's plate has to cost €16 is beyond me.The toilets in the basement are equipped with a motion detector, which is connected to a timer and is set a little tight because it can happen that it gets dark in the toilet. The bottom line is that we have to say there is still room for improvement when it comes to service.
