The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, I slept really well. Breakfast is rich with fresh rolls, boiled eggs, sausage, cheese, jam, everything is there.

Fortunately, we were only there to eat because of the positive Google reviews. Friendliness and hospitality are something completely different. The innkeepers seemed more bothered by us than happy to have guests. The prices are okay at first glance. The "steak" (not marked as pig on the menu) is a dead pork neck, 3 slices of cucumber, 1/8 tomato, a spoonful of coleslaw from the package, the fries are frozen goods, no ketchup or mayo, pretty unseasoned and 3 to 4 euros too expensive. You don't ask if you liked it, if you wanted coffee or dessert, nothing at all. The landlady sits at the table with acquaintances for over 20 minutes and no longer pays any attention to the other guests and ignores all attempts to draw attention to herself. When you pay, you are not asked for the payment method. If you then pull out the card, you are angrily marched behind the counter and told that you now have to re-enter everything. That's not the guest's problem. No “Was everything okay”, no “Have a nice evening, goodbye!”. Come over, eat, leave money, go. Abnormal and outrageous and then not even good food. Don't eat there.

Unfortunately a bit remote from the Rennsteig, but delicious, simple, cheap and even vegan food. Unfortunately it's not yet a given, so the detour from Limbach was definitely worth it for us.

This small but nice inn is located in a beautiful valley, right on a main road but totally quiet. The restaurant at this inn is highly recommended, very cozy and the food is excellent...We will definitely be back.

I can only judge the food. It was delicious Thuringian food. We ate cabbage rolls with dumplings and red cabbage, game and pike perch. Price reasonable. We'd love to come back.

A drying room for wet hiking boots and clothes and the offer of a shuttle service should be positively highlighted. The walk over the gold path was very difficult. There is a small selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu.Location is very out of the way.
