On Sunday we went to the Schwarze Ross in Presseck. I had roast venison with dumplings and red cabbage, the meat was tender as butter, the dumplings were perfect, and the red cabbage was a dream. So beer was a Flechterla from the Weismainer breweryFor dessert I had a cheesecake, which was served warm. I have to say I have never had such a good cheese cake.Clearly recommended.

Good home cooking, extensive menu, friendly owners.I wanted to try cod. The restaurant is known nationwide for this. It was very interesting and tasted very good. Stockfish used to be eaten throughout Upper Franconia, especially in winter and on Good Friday. The fish has to be soaked for days before being prepared - not many people do that work.My companion had one of the other dishes, also very good. We'll be back!
