We were there for lunch with the family on the occasion of our civil wedding. Communication in advance was simple and uncomplicated, the service on the day was excellent and the food was outstanding. All guests were absolutely thrilled. The fries alone for the children were unanimously the best that everyone at the table had ever eaten.Thank you for everything!

An absolute insider tip for fantastic food and an extremely cozy beer garden. The garden is very quiet and away from the street in a backyard. Beautiful and really rustic with a large population of trees to relax and linger.The staff is extremely friendly and personable. Empty drinks are immediately noticed and we were well looked after.The food is outstanding. Preparation, quality and presentation excellent. A real culinary delight that impresses at this level at a fantastic price.An absolute must visit for anyone who values excellent cuisine.

What can you say, other than great! Very good food and great service. For a comparable price you drive a few more kilometers in the region. The great thing for families is a small playground right in the beer garden. This means you can enjoy your meal in peace and quiet.

Very nice location in the baroque town of Ellingen with a beer garden. Very friendly service from the Knoll couple.Excellent cuisine at reasonable prices. Preparations of choice for seniors in the form of half portions for double the enjoyment! We recommend!!

A surprise in every way.A very romantic ensemble of buildings in the middle of the town, which I can't say much about because I spent most of my time in a neighboring town. The building is very old, lovingly and tastefully decorated, and not at all staid. Very high ceilings, no carpets (!), so in true style, with chandeliers, beautiful windows, but with a modern bathroom... everything was very clean.A beautiful, romantic beer garden under old, tall trees is located behind the house or in the courtyard. And the most important thing: friendly, attentive hospitality! A generous, individual breakfast should also be mentioned; exemplary! I will definitely come back again because the hotel is an ideal base from which to go on excursions into the region; apart from the fact that Ellingen also seems to be a nice place.

The hotel was excellently integrated into the old building with a lot of love. The restaurant is outstanding, great value for money. We love good cuisine and are in very good hands here. The service is perfect and the beer garden in the courtyard is a feast for the eyes. We recommend.

On a bike tour, 2 couples, 1 night in a beautiful, rustic hotel, room very lovingly furnished.Rooms decorated after Roman emperors, something different but nice.The house is run by a young, very committed couple. Very very nice.We wanted to watch the football public viewing, the boss called several times, a restaurant was found in the neighboring town, a table was reserved for us and a taxi was ordered. Where else is that?Well, beforehand we had eaten in the shady beer garden. Four different dishes, all delicious. At a fair price. The service, no check-in, but you are a guest and that is how you are served. Try the sensational porcini mushroom soup.

Beautiful building with a super nice barn and beer garden. The food is incredibly tasty and the quality is super good. I still dream today about my last main course at the Roman Kaiser in Ellingen. The staff is sooo nice and totally on the ball and the owner couple is super friendly. I would love to come back with all my heart and can only warmly recommend the restaurant

We were cycling along the Altmühl and unfortunately only for one night in the beautiful Gasthof Römischer Kaiser. We (2 couples) were totally satisfied with everything: service, rooms (clean and good mattresses), food (dinner and rich breakfast), location and friendly staff.Price-performance ratio is absolutely right.
