At the end of September we spent a long weekend (from Thursday to Sunday) with our motorhome at the campsite.Normally we are users of pitches and even after this stay we don't understand the added value of a campsite. The average price for a parking space with sanitary facilities/electricity/supply and disposal in Germany has so far been 20 euros/24 hours. The price per night at the campsite at Brombachsee for us was just under 44 euros (including the dog). But we met people who had a rental property and that's why we chose the place.Arrival only possible from 3 p.m. Departure by 1 p.m. So if you stay one night, you don't even have a full 24 hours. The place was quite empty, which was very pleasant for us.The walk to Brombachsee is stated to take 20 minutes via an (unmarked) forest path. The employee at the reception upon arrival was very friendly. But that's about it for the positive things about the employees. One day we walked to Pleinfeld and went to the tourist information there. As we were doing some shopping, we were asked for our Seenland cards, which we should have gotten when we arrived at the square. So I asked and got the answer: "We should have taken it from the display in the reception!"Whether blank cards are in the interests of the city of Pleinfeld remains to be seen.At sanitary building 2 we had read that there was a dog shower at the back. Inquiries at the reception: "Where did you read that? They haven't been around for three years!"The side toilet at the sanitary building was closed. When asked whether this was correct, the receptionist replied in the affirmative. The comment that a sign would be nice was dismissed with the sentence “the other one is open around the corner”.But the upper hammer came on the third day:We went hiking and returned to the campsite in the afternoon sweaty. We were looking forward to a nice warm shower and... had the "pleasure" of only getting cold water!!! Changing the shower stalls didn't help either.Attempts to call reception from the motorhome were in vain. We were put on hold until the announcement came that there were still 15 calls to go and that we should try again later. So we went to reception and asked. Answer: "Yes, this was reported in the morning and the craftsman has been informed, but he can't come until the evening!"My comment that it would be great if this was announced with a sign was laughed at.I also had to actively ask whether the defect also applied to sanitary building 3 (which it did not).Is it really too much to ask your guests to share such information without asking? There are warning and mandatory signs everywhere on the square, but current notices are not possible.Really sad.Opinions can be divided about the cleanliness of the sanitary buildings. However, at least technically everything should work. But in sanitary building 2, a light above one of the toilets didn't work and in sanitary building 3, a shower door couldn't be locked. Who knows what else didn't work. We didn't use it much. What we also questioned was the use of light switches in the sanitary buildings. This could certainly be solved in a more modern way with motion detectors. But that's just a note.We certainly won't visit the place again and won't recommend it to others.

The mobile home is of the finest and modern furnishings with a fully equipped kitchen and is very clean as is the entire campsite. The covered terrace is great for breakfast. You can order bread rolls at reception the day before.Very quiet and sunny location in the forest campsite. It's about a 20-minute walk through the forest to the pier at the lake.

We went glamping at the Trekking Troll Cottage. It was a wonderful atmosphere to sit outside in autumn, have the smell of the forest all around you and still have the feeling of camping. Check-in went smoothly and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean. We would have liked to have stayed longer!

Nice camping place. Had a tiny house. Clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, apart from one radiator in the house, all the others were deactivated. So it got pretty cold at night.

I will spend the next 2 weeks here and honestly I love this place, quite clean and comfy. What would you want more than that if you're here for a business trip? The staff it's lovely especially the lady from the reception, I don't speak Dutch but she speak's English very well and it's very kind.I will recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a cozy place to stay, doesn't matter if it's long or short period and I hope this review will help you to choose wisely.Enjoy your trip!

We were there with our caravan for the last long weekendAnd unfortunately we don't understand the good reviews at allThe sanitary facilities are totally filthy, toilets are full of shit, unfortunately there is no other way to say it, there is so much hair in the showers or sinks, it's just disgusting, there are no trash cans so everything ends up on the floor, really disgusting!!!!And that in all sanitary buildings!!!The sinks are dirty, there are old lamps left behind, garbage, etc. There are no trash cans there eitherThere is no lighting anywhere on the site, it's just pitch black, which makes it very difficult to get to the toilets and to wash up outside (only possible there) from 7.30 p.m. at that time of yearThere really isn't anything open at the campsiteThe beer garden has been closed since the beginning of September. Chairs, tables are still there. Wild outdoor parties were probably celebrated here after all the empty liquor bottles there! Apart from the overpriced bread roll service you don't get anything!!!!Low ropes course was ok, playground, soccer field too but there was a lot of dirt there tooTrampoline 6min 1€ doesn't say in any description that it costs anythingWe were able to enter the gym from an overgrown, half-open doorIt could once have been a nice campsite, but now it's just terrible, unloving and not worth the money at allWe were all very disappointed!!!There were three families who were looking forward to their time out - a shame ☹️

We had a place with a private bathroom. It's a beautiful place with a lot of potential, the location in the forest is a big advantage, especially on hot summer days.In some places the places are difficult to reach with larger trailers.WiFi or internet is not possible, hardly any reception. But it didn't bother us that much, after all you're in the middle of the forest. Our private bathroom was clean and absolutely sufficient. We were there before the season started and so there was nothing on offer. In my opinion, more needs to be done. The green areas are rather unkempt and, especially after winter, the children's play areas should be spruced up.It is noticeable that a lot of emphasis is placed on mass. Lots of mobile homes, close together and when the place is full, it quickly becomes loud and overcrowded. There isn't a lot of "attention to detail" put into the campsite here. Our conclusion was good despite a few small things, but there is room for improvement!

We were at the campsite with 2 caravans over the bridge day. The place is beautifully located in the forest. Unfortunately we were assigned the 2 worst parking spaces. Total quagmire. You cannot rent out spaces in this condition. Since there were still enough free places and the operator would have to know his places, a proactive allocation would have been desirable. The rear sanitary facilities were also in a very unclean condition.

In the first week of October and despite the single-digit temperatures, the place is well attended. The pitches are spacious and half grass, half gravel. We think it's good, because since it rained for several days, nothing stands in the way of a dry exit from the caravan, instead of the usual mud on other campsites. Quiet time, despite days with lots of children, nothing was heard after 8 p.m. Restaurants are closed on site, but that's not important to us since we're self-catering. Leisure value is good, there are many cycling tours on Komoot, walks and the places in the immediate vicinity are also nice to look at. The reviews regarding plumbing are incomprehensible to us. The showers are free, there's endless hot water, it's clean and the amount of toilet paper that doesn't get cleaned suggests it's not true. Vending machines in the digital age are ok for us!
