Nice idea, disappointing implementation – a night in the SleeperooUnfortunately, we discovered with great regret that the overnight stay did not in any way meet our expectations of a restful night. When we arrived we discovered that our sleeperoo was not locked and therefore accessible to third parties. We were also very disappointed with the choice of location right next to the cable car and on the busy hiking trail. This was not apparent on Sleeperoo's homepage and really bothered us. “River sounds” are also advertised. Unfortunately, we couldn't hear anything about it, as very loud music could be heard at the cable car from around 8 p.m. The floodlights from the mountain railway were also switched on, which illuminated our tent uncomfortably brightly. Because of this, we broke off our overnight stay at 9:30 p.m. and spent the night at home. Unfortunately, we also discovered that many of the foods in the chillbox offered had already expired for months. In summary, the concept is a nice idea, but the implementation at this location is very disappointing and the advertising on the homepage is misleading.

A really great idea with these cabins. It's practically like a more comfortable tent, which by the way was very clean and tidy! We were able to experience a wonderful sunrise and were lucky with the weather.Still, I had imagined it differently and thought that it was at least set up in a gated area or something.Unfortunately, the cabin is at the entrance to the zigzag path from Sommerberg down to Bad Wildbad. That means there were people walking past all the time in the evenings, curiously sneaking up on our "tent" and even shining their flashlights in in the evenings when it was dark. You just had to say every now and then that someone was inside and then they would disappear again. There was a party in the restaurant/bar next door until the early hours of the morning. It was ok for me because they at least had good music playing, but it made it very easy to sleep. There are toilets in the cable car station, but unfortunately there are no showers. You couldn't shower in the hotels either because "everything was fully booked".All in all, it was kind of a fun experience, but whether I would do it again for 200 euros... Probably not.

A great experience at the Sleeperoo. Not for late risers because you could be woken up relatively early by the cable car.

Great and unique experience!Everything clean and great chillbox.Only suggestions for improvement:Put up something to provide shade, as it gets hot at over 30 degrees until late in the evening and also quite early in the morning. You could also put a privacy notice on the trail, so perhaps fewer “onlookers” come.

We spent a great night here in nature. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate perfectly and so we didn't have a nice view outside in the constant rain. In the morning, however, we were woken up by the first rays of sunshine. The host is very nice and the snack box was really great.

We had a lovely night in the Sleeperoo on Sommerberg. Unfortunately we were a bit unlucky with the weather, it rained for hours in the evening and the sky was overcast. After 10:30 p.m., when the lighting on the cable car is switched off, you are completely alone here and can experience an interesting overnight stay in nature. It is particularly recommended to leave the cube in the middle of the night and take a look at the peaceful valley to Bad Wildbad. In the morning you are woken up by the sun and have a great panoramic view. The chill box was lovingly designed and the host was very nice and helpful.

Overnight stay from August 11th until 12.8. 2019. On Sundays when the weather is nice, the Sommerberg is a well-visited excursion destination. Peace in the forest looks different. The various attractions close at 6 p.m., then things get much quieter. The cube is comfortable, really ok for one night and an unusual trip. Location could be better (right next to the cable car, lit in the evening, train signal noise in the morning). The only real drawback is the public toilet, which was dirty after a busy Sunday.Charging €166 for this “service” is far too expensive! Conclusion: There are definitely better locations in the Black Forest where there is not so much hustle and bustle. It would probably be better to place the cube near a hotel or similar where the toilets are cleaned regularly.

We thought it was really nice, of course you can always improve things. But the view was very nice, we had a starry, very quiet and cozy night in the Sleeperoo
