On the terrace you have a wonderful view over the Rhine.Very nicely laid out with flowers.The service is also courteous.However, the cake is not baked in-house, but by Erlenbacher. Please offer fewer cakes/pies, but instead make them yourself.

The hotel is a bit remote but we get the peace and quiet in the place. Everything was good. The train that passes makes vibrations, but the management cannot do anything about that.(During the first few hours in the room, you have to be careful of the door stop that is far from the wall so that you can easily trip over it)Important: Google states that you can pay electronically in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. That's wrong. This law has not yet been approved in Germany. The traders refuse that. Luckily we had brought some cash with us. This way we could still pay in cafes and shops. There was no problem at the hotel.

Unfortunately our experience is rather negative in the restaurant. Our order was forgotten and after waiting 40 minutes and seeing all the tables being served I asked about our food. The waiter told us 5 more minutes, however when I went inside I learned the kitchen will start only now to make our food.( We arrived 2. in the restaurant after opening, and all tables around us where served already with guest who came way later). A lady - perhaps owner- told me she doesn’t care if we just cancel our order we can go, she also told me this isn’t s mcdonald’s and if we want fast food we should go there. Her manner was dismissive, rude and the tone unprofessional. We were then served a hastily made undercooked shrimp salad, a cold main dish and a wiener schnitzel possibly from the freezer. If you are taking the chairlift anyway, then make your way up the hill and the hunting lodge is restaurant is welcoming and a better choice.

We've been guests at the hotel for years... Always high standards and super nice... We were guests again this year and I spent my birthday there, lovely champagne breakfast and super delicious food every day, good service and a nice atmosphere . We'll be back in December for the magic of Advent.

We only went there for lunch because we really liked the terrace. The service was very nice and together with the ambience it deserves 4-5 stars.Then why only 2 stars? Yes, the food deserves a maximum of 1 star. We had Rhenish sauerbraten. The meat was well prepared, no deductions in the B grade. 3 pieces each about 50 grams. Not a lot but still just acceptable. So now things are slowly going downhill. 2 mini potato dumplings. OK, it's not bad for my line, but definitely not enough.Further on the way to the culinary cellar is the raisin sauce - Mondamin pure with 5-6 raisins inside. That's not possible, a restaurant has to do better.But it gets even worse. With red cabbage it has definitely reached the deepest cellar of culinary art. Reheated cheapest canned herb. The only taste was that of the preserving vinegar. The chef didn't even bother to add seasoning. It couldn't be worse, not even the company canteens get it like that.I'll never come here to eat again.

Restaurant visit:Great atmosphere, beautiful view and super delicious food (that's why the 2 stars)BUT!!!!It is incredibly outrageous (from the owner) to only have 2 waiters for outside and inside areas, it is inhumane (towards the staff) and serious mistakes happen, this upsets many guests...During the time (it was almost 3 hours) that we were there, 3 tables left the restaurant without ordering because no one took the order and we also had to wait almost half an hour before we could place our order.The 2 waiters are super nice but are completely overwhelmed...Not only are things booked on the wrong tables, but also not booked at all (which is very bad for the restaurant), then they ask you again what you ordered and then some of them are charged twice, that's an absurdity unprofessional. If we hadn't looked at the bill again, we would have been left with 20€ more, that's not possible in my opinion...The 2 waiters/waiters are certainly doing their best, but the owner should perhaps change the situation and hire more staff.Since the tables ask for a review, we decided to write one, even if it probably didn't turn out as desired...

The hotel is fantastically located in Assmannhausen in beautiful surroundings and if you want to go to Rüdesheim it is easy by train.The hotel is clean and well maintained, the host and staff are professional, sweet and very service minded. There are very good parking conditions.The room has a fridge, kettle and a floor fan for the warm nights.The restaurant serves really good, traditional German food (their sauces are outstanding). We can highly recommend the hotel.

We took advantage of the “5 for 4 offer” and felt very comfortable. The leisure activities on offer were extensive and beautiful. The food as part of the half board was very good and our every wish was fulfilled. The room did not have a balcony and faced the courtyard, but it is still recommended.
