We had explicitly registered for the "rehearsal dinner" for a planned wedding next year and despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't fully occupied, we sat in front of empty glasses for 35 minutes before we could order more drinks. The long time between ordering and receiving the food was also annoying. In total, lunch (menu and dessert) lasted three hours. The food itself was okay. Nothing special with a small selection on the menu.Although a wheelchair user was registered, the restaurant did not say a word about the fact that there were many steps to climb to get to the dining room and especially to the toilet. The staff helped lift my heavy electric wheelchair up and down the stairs to the dining room, but I wasn't really happy with it. This restaurant is absolutely unsuitable for wheelchair users. Exception in summer in the beer garden. However, I can't say what a toilet looks like.Prices and services do not match. The staff was friendly and helpful in service but very inattentive.

On a quiet Sunday noon, with only eight tables seated outdoors (of >20), staff was quick and attentive. On a busy Saturday afternoon half a year ago, everything bustling, everyone seemed overwhelmed, but still friendly. Public toilets nearby, which we were advised to use (instead of the hotel toilets indoors) were lacking soap and towels, however. The food, which might be ok for the average visitor from Coblenz, is underwhelming. Salad sauce is sub-par, slices of baguette were dry, mushrooms were very much hit over the head with fresh but fibrous onion/garlic green. Tried several cakes, generally on the sugary side and cream whipped with the typical taste of additives. The 80s called and wanted their recipes back.Families, dogs and children are welcome. Dogs a little too much, some even left their droppings on the grass right besides some table.

I rate the Remstecken restaurant:We had booked our table for 12 people at 5:30 p.m. We were finally able to order the food around 6 p.m. The food came for the children after a long wait, but the food for us adults was far from there. The two tables next door that arrived well after us, about 30 minutes, had received their food. By 7 p.m. our patience was exhausted. Even the children couldn't sit anymore...Then the food came, very blandly seasoned, a salad was missing, which was no longer delivered, some of the meat was lukewarm and instead of the croquettes we ordered, cold fries came. We were pissed off. The salts that came were very small and everything was really expensive, so you expect food that is all the more quick, high quality and tastes well seasoned. It's such a shame, because the pond and the landscape around it were wonderful.Unfortunately, the service couldn't score points either, he didn't even ask if everything was okay, no mayo or ketchup was offered with the fries, something was brought after we asked. And last but not least, a plate had a real flaw... That's not possible. I wouldn't put a plate like that in front of any guest in my private house.That's really outrageous.After we expressed our absolutely justified displeasure, some of the drinks were reduced, which was absolutely not enough.All three families were really upset and will definitely not be coming back.Attached is a photo of the plate with the flaw and the mini salt of a main course.So disappointing!!!

We were there for dinner with 12 people. Had reserved. We liked the location. A beautiful complex with a small pond and a view of the forest. We ordered drinks. A few orders were missing. Can happen. Came after. We ordered food and food for the children. The children's food came quickly. The portions were quite small for the price. Our food came and didn't come. The children had long since finished eating and we were still waiting. 1.5 hours after ordering, we said we were leaving because the children were getting restless and there were no opportunities to play. Then we were told that we still have to pay for food. Impudence! We were then persuaded to stay. Food would come in 5 minutes. It also came, but what we were served for around 30 euros per dish was simply ridiculous. "Onion roast" was a 200 g steak with a hint of onions with paprika spice, 5 croquettes and 3 lettuce leaves. The steak was cold and tough. The schnitzel and noodles weren't anything special either. As compensation, we were offered a round of drinks on the house. A wasted evening and money thrown out the window. Very annoying. Never again and really not recommended!

Rating for the “café” and restaurant, not for the hotel.It's not actually a café, even if it's big on the outside. At coffee time there were two cakes to choose from and overpriced ice cream. Over €7 for a ball of sorbet.The order of 4 parts was delivered in 5 trips over a period of 15 minutes because once the wrong one came. Not acceptable for the prices. So the first ice cream was already gravy before the last one got his. There were no napkins either, so you had to find them yourself.If it were packed, something might get lost, but not even 1/4 of the tables were occupied.

We had dinner in the restaurant today. We would have liked to eat currywurst with fries, which is also more expensive than last year. But these are now only available from 2:30 p.m. Beforehand there are only really expensive main courses. The Wiener Schnitzel with a few fries and a mini salad costs €27.20! The kohlrabi schnitzel was €18.80. The food tasted good. However, I just didn't think the portions were adequate for this price!The service wasn't good either. Forgetful, doesn't come for ages, doesn't notice when you need something and just walks past you.We only came back because the currywurst was ok and we thought we could eat it there after we went for a walk at the Remstecken.Can only be recommended for people who want to get rid of their money somehow because there is no more room for it in the basement.

I spent three wonderful days in a very well-kept room, service was exceptionally friendly and eating outside was a real pleasure. The location is exceptionally quiet with a small animal zoo in the forest. If you want to relax and enjoy friendly people, this is a real treasure trove, even with children and babies. The food was excellent and there were good wines too. I will come back, especially since Koblenz is only about 10 minutes away by car. Thank you for the wonderful holiday at Forsthaus Waldhotel.

Very nice, newly renovated house with a good kitchen. Very good for hikers too. Beautiful hiking trails all around.Children's playground and wild animal enclosure on site.About 10 minutes by car to Koblenz.

We went to the restaurant for dinner on the Remstecken on June 7th and were terribly disappointed. My wife tried to eat asparagus with boiled ham. I had a fillet steak with asparagus. The asparagus was only made warm and served rock hard. The cooked ham was molded meat, the sauce had no taste at all. My wife had to pass straight away and I at least ate the Staek and the fries. We were given a waiver of drinks, which was nice but not what we wanted, which was good FOOD. We had reserved another table for the next day, but I quickly canceled it. After I told them on the phone, they told me that the asparagus wasn't good. I have never heard such an excuse in my almost 70 years. It's a shame that the kitchen is still looking for excuses.
