The Helmarshausen youth hostel is worth a trip! Super nice staff, nice rooms, delicious and varied food. The ideal starting point for excursions in the region (Sababurg Zoo, Wesertherme, Krukenburg Castle).

The youth hostel can only be recommended! We were there as a band with a music group and would love to come back next year. The staff is very friendly and was there to help us with any questions we had in order to find the best solution. The rooms were clean and you always had a nice view of the countryside as the scenery around the hostel is really beautiful and calming. We really had nothing to complain about and are already looking forward to our next visit.

A great youth hostel with extremely friendly and helpful staff! The food buffet was good, the breakfast was particularly tasty with a lot of vegetarian selection. Many rooms only have a sink and the showers and toilets are in the hallway. The second floor has been renovated and makes a modern impression. The building is remote and noise from children was not a problem. We'd love to come back!

The staff at the youth hostel are all very friendly. You can tell that a lot of effort is put into this and that they always try to respond to the needs of the guests. The age of the building cannot be seen inside the renovated part. Everything is very well equipped for a youth hostel and the area is ideal for taking long walks or sitting on the benches outside in the sun. I found the youth hostel to be generally very clean and in good condition and can say that it is the best youth hostel I have been to so far. Great recommendation.

We were here with a large hiking group over the weekend. It was really good! Great service and very nice employees. The selection and offerings in the dining room were excellent. We would be happy to come back and recommend this youth hostel to others.

Totally nice welcome at the reception, the dinner was very tasty, including the vegetarian meal.Showers and toilets in the hallway were ok. The house itself is getting old, but has already been renovated in several places.You can sit outside on the terrace. Quiet location.

While hiking I was lucky enough to pass through this youth hostel. The staff, and in particular Bogdan, truly went above and beyond! They were very flexible, solution focused whenever I had a problem with my hike (which I had many), extremely communicative, as well as very kind & friendly. You will struggle to find better hosts!The hostel itself was very clean, surprisingly well sound-proofed and the food was delicious!

We were there for a three-day family reunion with 40 people. The house is in a very nice location, the huge building is now 100 years old, which you can of course see in one corner or another and which also creates the atmosphere of the youth hostel. Everything was okay, well maintained, clean. Some rooms had already been renovated, others were still waiting, but were still perfectly fine.Although the house was fully occupied with another large group, showers/toilets in the shared sanitary rooms were never a problem. I can't confirm the 'traffic jam' and lack of cleanliness as described from time to time.The team really did everything they could to ensure we had a great weekend. Whether planning, food, our own group room, drinks..., we always looked for a solution in contact with us and responded to us very flexibly. Thanks again to the kitchen team for the great food and the overtime. Not a given!!!We can only recommend DJH Helmarshausen

It was actually quite good, I really liked the food, the only thing I was missing was more options for meat than just pork, but I didn't think the rooms were that great because a lot of it was broken, cobwebs, spiders in the cupboard, there was a lot of dust and that was actually quite disgusting The service was actually good, everyone was very nice and yeah

Junularo Frankfurt e.V. was there for the second time last week with our youth camp with 80 people. The hostel is a dream! The local people are all incredibly nice and accommodating: reception, kitchen, cleaning, everyone is great. The varied food is cooked fresh every day, cleanliness, grounds, surroundings, everything is top notch. Thanks for the great week and see you soon!

Very few rooms as modern as on the internet! Unfortunately, many of the rooms are ancient and very outdated.Three showers for more than 50 beds in one hallway!Not enough seats in the dining room, no seat even after an hour of waiting.

A bit old. The dining room is far too small when fully occupied and is not soundproof at all. The rooms are plain and simple. However, the mattress is very thin and when it rains, water comes in through the windows. There are too few showers in the hallways in the morning. The outdoor areas are great except for the grill hut... This looks more like a lost place and a lot of things are broken.

Beautiful, old youth hostel with great new ideas and service area.Showers and toilets are good. The rooms could use some renovation. Definitely not enough sockets.Brilliantly located. Breakfast is good, coffee surprisingly good.

We were accommodated with almost 50 students on the newly renovated second floor. Really nice. Everyone felt very comfortable.The breakfast buffet is better than in many hotels, lunch snacks and warm dinners leave nothing to be desired. Special dietary requirements are met without any problems. The team is super friendly and accommodating. Absolutely the right place for intensive musical rehearsals.
