If you want pure nature - then you've come to the right place. In the middle of the forest surrounded by the Black Forest. The Schluchsee is in the immediate vicinity. You can rent canoes from the boathouse and explore the lake with them. In the evening, light a cozy fire at the fire pit in camp (if there is no risk of forest fire) and meet new, nice people. We love it here!

The best campsite we've had in a long time.Right in nature, quiet but not secluded. Has everything you need.Especially great for really warm days. Thanks to the trees and nature, there was a difference of 5°C compared to the concrete desert at the neighboring campsite.

The four-star rating refers to my stay at the “Bernhard” campsite. The Black Forest Camp is the ultimate contrast to the large campsite right next to it, which in my opinion is very ugly. A few selected places for your own tents, tipis, gondolas and tree tents for rent and now four, but only four places for campers up to the size of a VW bus.This was our second time at the Bernhard course, which is perhaps the most impractical of all as it is surrounded by nettles and other wild growth. This is nice to look at and is part of the character of the area. Unfortunately, there is no access to trees to attach a tarp, a clothesline or a hammock. Next time I would choose one of the other places.The concept with the composting toilets and the use of the sanitary building from the other camp next door is OK and adds to the character as a whole, BUT the fact that there is no opportunity to wash dishes, brush teeth and the like is, in my opinion, a real deficiency , which limits the practicality of the camp. You certainly don't want all the wastewater to end up in the bushes or the composting toilet and spending half of my stay traveling to the large CP next door isn't the point either. Since there is a sewage treatment plant directly under the property, it should somehow be possible to get a single sewer line there. Maybe at the bottom of the pitch?Otherwise it was a nice stay in the forest oasis, like last time.

If you want to place your tent between the trees and stones, next to the wastewater treatment plant, come, otherwise move on.

Very nice Black Forest camp,We would love to come back, we really enjoyed it!Outhouse with a compostable toilet, I hadn't had one before, it was just something new 😊 it was also cleaned every morning! Sanitary facilities for showering, toilets, washing clothes and washing dishes were also available at the neighboring campsite and could be used. There are also tipi tents for overnight stays. You can also grill and have a campfire. You can only charge your cell phone at reception.Everyone was very nice and friendly 😊All in all it was very nice.

Absolute favorite campsite! If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and nice people, you should definitely visit the Black Forest Camp :)

A perfect stay with great, clean places that are right in the forest. There are lots of opportunities to get in touch with people and the receptionist was always helpful. What I found most beautiful was the lovingly furnished little kiosk and the SUP offer with the nearby boathouse! Being on the Schluchsee in the evening and morning in complete silence was my personal highlight :)

I recently went to the Black Forest Camp and have to say it was a very disappointing experience.Firstly, the costs are outrageously high. The initial price seemed excessive, but what really annoyed me was the numerous additional fees upon arrival. This left a bitter aftertaste and the feeling of being left out.While the staff was friendly, that didn't make up for the overall poor experience. The distance between the tents was misrepresented - despite the claim that the tents were 100 meters apart, it was at most 20 meters. This lack of privacy was particularly disturbing.Here's an overview of the morning schedule:- **7:00 a.m.:** Five children start crying in tent A.- **7:30am:** Another five children start crying in tent B.- **8:00 am:** The grass is mown with a noisy machine.- **8:30am:** Another machine arrives to cut wood.The noise level was unbearable and made it impossible to relax or sleep in.In addition, the showers were very far away from the tents. This made it a real challenge to maintain basic hygiene, especially in the morning or late at night.Furthermore, the so-called "forest" felt more like a small city park, completely devoid of the feeling of a real nature experience. The cramped space and constant noise gave the impression of being in the middle of a city rather than a quiet forest.Overall, Black Forest Camp was a big disappointment and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic nature stay.

It all depends on what you are looking for: nice decoration? Then this is something for you. It is important to me that I don't hear the road. However, you can hear the busy 500 Freiburger Strasse, from early in the morning until late in the evening. The water treatment plant is not, but it is located between the campsite and the Sluchsee, so keep that in mind. The compost toilet is fine but all other facilities are shared with the adjacent camper campsite so you will definitely spend some time there.

It is a small campsite on the edge of the woods. Next to the campsite is another large campsite and a water suction installation. Yet you have the feeling of being in the middle of the forest. It is not a dime a dozen pitches that are also reasonably private. For 10 euros you can get a large box of wood with which you can make a fire in the evening. You can shower at the adjacent campsite. Recommended for people who want to go back in time.

First the “important” things:- You can't hear the street- You can't see the sewage treatment plant and we didn't smell it when we walked past it.- The campsite next door is exceptionally clean and well-equipped when it comes to sanitary facilities.The location in the forest is exceptional, especially for tents! The bus seats (we were on one of those) are very close together and narrow. These places are roughly gravelled and - we found - not very homely. Yes, you have to be able to drive there, but you still expect a lot more when you look at the parking spaces on the website.It's a nice place, but I think there would be fewer "disappointed" reviews if the descriptions weren't so heavy-handed.
