My husband, I and our little dog were visiting a friend. We stayed here on his recommendation and didn't regret it - a romantic little hotel with wonderful owners - we've just experienced it again in our 50+ years - feeling like we were staying at a dear friend's house. So if you like impersonal and “cold” five-star hotels – there’s nothing to look for here and then give bad reviews. This hotel has its own soul that can be seen in every detail. A young couple recently took over this hotel and are trying to fix it up - you can see that they are working on it according to their priorities. The hygiene in the room, kitchen and hallway is excellent. Breakfast is normal – hotel and in an amount that you can't eat. The nice owner made us coffee according to our wishes - Turkish!!! Isn't that more than expected!?! We also paid for more expensive hotels but we didn't receive this service. Located in the center where you have wonderful promenades, history, restaurants and cafes - all within 50 meters and again you have your perfect peace. I also note that parking is not a problem either. So we sincerely recommend this hotel. A big THANK YOU to the owners for their kindness and effort - we wish them many good guests and good luck in the further design of their little paradise!Gordana, Igor and Dona

I felt transported back to my childhood with my grandparents. You don't want to be a standard hotel in a modern style and that's exactly right. + central location+ nice view of the park+ Breakfast- Traffic noise from the bypass- Bathrooms are in need of renovation- damp smell- Price-performance doesn't fitEven though the hotel is called Garni, it is not a star hotel but takes overnight prices of a 4-star hotel. We paid €116 for one night in a double room. The facilities and standard of this accommodation do not justify the price. There are many cheaper alternatives for hikers. The tourist information office (directly opposite the hotel) will be happy to provide information.

We stayed overnight as part of the Schluchtensteig. Room was clean and freshly furnished. The bathroom isn't the most spacious but perfectly adequate. The hotel is DIRECTLY on the hiking trail and everything important is within walking distance. Breakfast was enough for hungry hikers. Not a luxury hotel but as hikers we would be out of place there.The biggest plus point is the very friendly operators.Absolutely recommended for hikers who don’t need a huge crowd!

Reviews should provide as realistic a description of the accommodation as possible in order to help future guests make their decision.Because of this, I absolutely don't understand the latest reviews.The house is completely run down, the entire furnishings and our bathroom are completely outdated. No trace of “charm”. You can find better things in the bulky waste.Feel good? None!The TV didn't work.There is old stuff around the house, everything is neglected.The breakfast was adequate in quantity, but of the cheapest quality.Price-performance ratio is not right here at all.The only plus: the rooms were clean. Central location.

We stayed at the Hotel Cafe Kurgarten for 1 week and were warmly welcomed. The double room had a balcony, was equipped with a seating area, the beds were comfortable, a large TV, the bathroom was spacious with a shower and window, everything was clean and well-kept. Our wishes were specifically addressed and we say thank you to Mrs. Kadic and her husband

We had a very pleasant week-long stay in this centrally and quietly located Garni Hotel. Spacious, clean rooms - good, comfortable bedding - perfect functionality of the large TV screen and internet connection but above all an incredibly friendly and warm welcome from the hosts. Wishes were literally “read from our eyes!”The breakfast was individually prepared and served according to guest wishes! You increasingly got the feeling that you were staying with “friends”! Our conclusion from these experiences is: THANK YOU again and gladly again!

It was the nicest, sweetest and most charming accommodation during our hike of the Schluchtensteig. The overnight stay was so pleasant, especially because the hostess and host are very personable and super nice. The rooms, especially the breakfast room, all have their own special charm and the remnants of the 50s furnishings give a special style.What we were most happy about was that we finally had a super tasty cappuccino in which we could finally feel the caffeine😋😂. The breakfast was prepared very lovingly anyway. I could have stayed in this beautiful room with the great view for hours!
