Nice, clean youth hostel. Went there with several school classes, check-in went smoothly, the food was okay.As a criticism, however, it must be noted that we had booked a drinks package for three days, although on the third day we no longer received any drinks from 9 a.m. because we had already vacated the rooms (even though we had an event in the meeting rooms until 12 p.m.). had).Much more serious, however, is the sometimes very unfriendly and aggressive staff. That's just not possible when dealing with young people. In particular, an older employee there, who, after I criticized him for dealing with a student, stood up in front of me and threatened me ("Just be careful, friend"), is absolutely out of place there.Based on this experience, absolutely no recommendation.

We were there as a family with 3 teenagers. The room was clean and big enough. Just bunk beds for all of us. No fitted sheets, a challenge that can be overcome. No towels are provided in this JHB, but you can get a shower and towel for a rental fee of EUR 4.50.The food was very good for a JHB. There was, for example, chicken schnitzel, minced meat sauce or gyro pan. Always with vegetables and rice or pasta and a salad buffet. There are corresponding offers for vegans. The breakfast was also very good. Different types of bread and rolls, jam, cheese, yoghurt, muesli etc. We enjoyed it.The staff on site were without exception friendly and very helpful.The rooms have to be vacated at 9 a.m., which we found a little too early.We would still come back.

A beautiful triangular castle in North Rhine-Westphalia!!🤗🤗 To understand the history you should definitely visit the museum!! Today there is a beautiful youth hostel in Wewelsburg!!😊😊

Here's an official review that deserves it in every respect.We were on site as lecturers and not only was everything necessary clarified in advance, but also prepared in an appealing way. Overall it was a harmonious team and cooperation. Soooo great! Best youth hostel we have been to so far.Unfortunately only for a few hours/overnight - such a shame.When you reach the parking lot, you immediately get that damsel feeling, but everything is modern and clean.Our room was small and right under the roof, with an outside temperature of 30 degrees... Everything was good ;)Really great employees - helpful, friendly, competent, relaxed (!!)...We'll definitely be back :)

A great castle with a great environment

An overnight stay in the castle is certainly an experience. There were enough parking spaces and the castle is very beautiful. We were warmly welcomed and introduced. Of course, the rooms correspond to a youth hostel, so expectations shouldn't be too high, but for the price they weren't met. I think this is comparatively high for the fact that you make and take off your own beds and provide your own towels. I can stay overnight in Germany for less and the service is included. The breakfast was good, but simple and here too you are not only allowed to clear up yourself, but also wipe the tables. For groups and families it might be worth it because of the offer for children, for couples I would recommend another sleeping accommodation. We didn't sleep because it was too hot, there was a mosquito in the room and the sheet kept coming off the mattress. There was a leftover from the previous tenant on the small shelf. Check-out by 9 is also super early. The castle is close to the airport and there is no ban on night flights. That probably wouldn't have bothered me, but I was awake anyway.In order to book accommodation, you have to join a club, which adds between 12 and 22.50 euros for one/two adults, depending on when in the year you join.

Great youth hostel. We were welcomed very well, our room was big enough for 4 people + dog. All rooms have their own toilet including shower. Our room overlooked the courtyard. The view from the castle into the valley is great! The children celebrated this youth hostel. Inside, everything is inspired by steampunk. The prices for snacks and alcoholic drinks are good and not overpriced. The dining room is in the basement, which gives you a special feeling with its arched vaults and flickering lamps. The kitchen staff is super open-minded and helps where they can. And if it was appropriate, you could also have a little chat. The food was good and sufficient. There was also a second helping for everyone. We recommend the half board if you don't come by car, as the town of Wewelsburg hardly has any restaurants.

We came with our children and dog, beautiful castle, great view, okay room. The mattresses are very uncomfortable, I left with a nasty backache, but I didn't have any great expectations. In the same way, I didn't have any great expectations for good food, but I didn't expect the food to be so badly mixed either. On the first day there was a spaghetti casserole with a layer of potato casserole on top. There were all sorts of leftover vegetables in it and in the vegetarian part a piece of minced meat, which is strange because the meat version had chopped sausages. There were also end pieces of carrots, which are actually not overcooked. In terms of taste, all the other dishes were also unreasonable, and diarrhea was included free of charge. We rented a gym for our stay, to which we had access and a key during this time. I had taken the bean bag from the room with me to the gym for the duration of our stay, which was brought into the room by the caretaker (?) without knocking first and I was literally allowed to listen to a lecture. I have no idea what the point of that was, but it shows how the children are treated there. No explanation, just start complaining.The museums are wonderful, especially the museum directly in the castle is super interesting and beautifully designed, especially for children, we had a lot of fun. Otherwise everyone there was very nice. However, the entire dining situation can be improved very much, as the queues are very long and the dining room is therefore completely overcrowded. This could certainly be regulated well by staggering larger groups or floors.

This is my third time here. Wonderful ambience... Room is a bit narrow but clean. Breakfast and dinner are ok. You could glue or nail fils or rubber pads under the chairs in the dining room. It gets loud when the chairs are moved. I didn't see a children's playground. A games room is available. You don't get WiFi everywhere. Otherwise, I'll be happy to come back.

The Wewelsburg is beautiful and the exhibitions are very interesting. You can stay there for several days so that you can see everything in detail. The youth hostel is nice and the breakfast is rich.

I'm a big fan of DJH Wewelsburg. The food is also good, but drinks are a bit limited.
