We had a spacious room. Very clean. Lots of nice conversations with the owners. Rich breakfast buffet. Very nice service. Parking spaces directly at the house. Idyllic landscape. Horses in front of the house, a stream behind the house.The inn is centrally located to reach the attractions.

Were visiting the Erle today while passing through and can only confirm the previous reviews. The owner always tried to fulfill our wishes, but was not intrusive. The food was excellent and of a very high standard. Here the guest is really pampered. The price-performance ratio is completely justified. Unfortunately, the owner had to turn away some guests because the staff acceptance was not sufficient, which is becoming more and more concerning about the shortage of skilled workers.

We were warmly welcomed and the service was extremely courteous. The breakfast was sufficient, we didn't use the restaurant. There are sufficient parking spaces available right next to the inn. We would like to stay at the Gasthaus zur Erle again the next time we visit the area.

Guesthouse zur erle is great.My wife and I are very enthusiastic about the environment and hospitality.The fam hornus deserves the very best.Service is great, great rooms, great breakfast, and very good cuisine.Heer Hornus deserves a star because you can cook it really well.We Hennie and Petra Bruins would like to thank the Hornus family for all the beautiful tags.Go shopping and enjoy.Into the beautiful Simonswald.

We weren't guests at the hotel but had the pleasure of eating in the small and very cozy restaurant one evening. We were welcomed very warmly, probably by the hostess of the house, and escorted to the table. Nice table ambience with a fabric tablecloth and set cutlery. The landlady looked after us very professionally, expertly (including wine advice) and friendly throughout the evening. The starter was a delicious spring curd. We wouldn't have needed the sliced rolls that were probably left over from tomorrow's breakfast buffet. You could definitely do something different. First there was a beef fillet carpaccio to share. Classically prepared and very tasty. Then we took the Black Forest trout Müllerin style. Top fresh fish, crispy and very tasty prepared with beautiful golden potatoes and nicely clarified butter. First of all there was, as is usual in the Black Forest, a small mixed salad with various raw vegetables. We were very satisfied with the evening in the Erle restaurant and can only recommend it to everyone. If we visit the beautiful Simonswald again, we would like to stop there again.

The host family was incredibly friendly, we felt very comfortable and were able to really enjoy our days off at the Gasthaus Erle. The stay is definitely recommended.

We were guests at the Erle over Easter. Our room was very nice and clean. On each of the 3 evenings we had a very tasty 3 course menu. You can tell that the boss (cook) knows his craft and does it with love. We also really liked Ms. Hornuss's hospitality. Also worth highlighting is the sustainability of the breakfast buffet, which consistently avoids any plastic packaging. Even the yogurt is served in reusable glasses, and everything is very appetizingly prepared. Very exemplary in this day and age. We'd love to come back.R and K Neumann

Highly recommended. The welcome and service were excellent. This is a genuine family run business that has been going for generation. The room was very large and comfortable. Recently refurbished to high standard. We had both dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious. The beef was very tasty yet tender and the menu offers a variety of venison dishes. The Black Forest ham at breakfast was incredible. The host went out of her way to make our stay comfortable.
