The location is great, in the middle of Pottenstein. The breakfast is okay and the rooms are functional. Very good price-performance ratio.

First the good news: They offer rooms. The bad news is everything else.Breakfast is 10€ per person and it is mediocre at best. The coffee was perhaps an hommage to the imitation coffees of German WWI soldiers. Little to no vegetarian or vegan options. Not worth it.The rooms were OK, very old bathroom and not as clean as I would like. You can definitely hear your neighbours and the street in your rooms and no mosquito nets either. No AC either so prepare to get sweaty in the summer.Staff was not friendly or warm but not offensive either.Payment is either in Cash or ONLY with EC which is a great inconvenience.

Unfortunately it's getting old. But good for a short stay. Breakfast is not worth 10 euros. Great views, free parking and central.

I wanted a cheap room with a shower, toilet, TV, WiFi and breakfast for my hiking holiday. That's exactly what I got!The host is very friendly, everything went very relaxed and problem-free.The parking lot is about 200 meters away, but that wasn't a problem. There are restaurants, ice cream parlors, bakeries and souvenir shops in the immediate vicinity.Everything was fine - I was extremely satisfied...!!!

Would book again at any time, was a guest there as a business traveler. Very clean, simple and inexpensive rooms, very friendly information on the phone when booking, and a beautiful environment (picturesque Pottenstein) and good location right in the town center.Unfortunately the restaurant has had to close due to personnel reasons, but there are other restaurants and a café within walking distance.

The booking for our group was also made in this guesthouse because the inn advertised its Bohemian cuisine. Otherwise we couldn't necessarily count on 8 people at the restaurants in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we now discovered that the inn served breakfast but was otherwise not open! In response to our objection, the owner told us that if we would bring him workers he could also run the gas farm. But that wasn't the issue at issue. We accused him of misleading guests who wanted to book. The entire menu could also be read on the outside of the restaurant. There was no evidence on site that it was permanently closed. We also observed supposed “guests” who read the menu and then stood in front of a closed door. So if you still want to book here and use the service of an intact inn, you should call again, as there is no correction on the company's homepage yet.

Very clean rooms that offer everything you would expect from an accommodation. Friendly landlord couple. It's a shame that the restaurant had to close. The reason for this is probably, among other things, the city council's stupid, short-sighted decision to offer larger investors in the leisure industry the opportunity to almost completely eliminate the local, long-established restaurants. At 9 p.m. in the evening the sidewalks in Pottenstein are now being folded up. It's a shame, this beautiful place deserves more.
