We booked an overnight stay in the wine barrel and were thrilled. The wine barrel is very cozy and a great area in the middle of the vines. The hosts were very friendly and both the snack (very generous cheese and sausage platter with farmhouse bread) and the breakfast were put together with love. Perfect for switching off thanks to a high level of discretion!

Great little winery in beautiful surroundings. Whether you spend the night in a wine barrel, in a room or in a holiday apartment, there is something for everyone.Very(!) nice landlords, friendly, open and always flexible.Delicious breakfast, sustainability is taken into account, so no packaging waste.The wine tasting👍👍👍A variety of activities are possible in the surrounding areaAll in all a successful holiday!!!

Had 1 night in a wine barrel...amazingly beautiful location...very lovingly furnished...as a welcome 1 bottle of secco 2 bottles of mineral water...for dinner 1 bottle of wine that you can choose yourself with the very loving rest of the dinner...had a cozy, relaxing one Evening spent with nice wine barrel neighbors from Esslingen...it is highly recommended...everything very loving...great bike paths or for hiking..really great winery owners in several generations...you feel at home there....

Stayed overnight in a comfortable wine barrel. The evening snack was very good and more than plentiful. Cellar tour and wine tasting was great. Any time. Yesterday we bought good rosé there.

Were super satisfied. Incredibly nice winery owners, rich breakfast and snacks made with love. The wine barrel was lovingly furnished and in a perfect location with a perfect view of the mountains and the vines. Of course, the spacious whirlpool was unbeatable.Highly recommended and we will definitely come back. Thank you!

We spent a night in the wine barrel at this beautifully located winery. Everything was perfect, we enjoyed the whirlpool and the sumptuous snack that followed with a fine bottle of Gutedel from our own cultivation. Very nice hosts, great location, we will advertise diligently to our circle of friends. Thanks to the hosts.

Very beautifully located winery with various accommodation options (sleeping in a wine barrel, guest room or holiday apartment). We had a great stay in one of the modern and clean guest rooms. Very friendly reception. Nice selection of in-house wines. Good breakfast with everything you need. Good value for money. Great restaurants within walking distance. Clear recommendation!

Went to the winery with a group of 57 people. The estate itself is brilliantly located on the hill in Heitersheim. Getting there with a large vehicle is not easy, but it is doable. The Schmidt family was extremely friendly. The Schäufele dinner was accompanied by potato salad with plenty of both. The accompanying wine tasting with 6 wines was professional. The wines are delicious and go well with the food. We would be happy to come back and recommend Weingut Schmidt

We really enjoyed our time in the wine barrel!Quiet location. Good wine and snacks for dinner.Very quiet! You don't hear any cars or other noise. A place to relax in the vineyards of Heitersheim!
