It is now autumn and we are sitting in the dining room. Very friendly service. Food very good. Only the noodles were a bit lukewarm. Additionally, the expense sequence could be somewhat coordinated. The soup just before the main course puts me under pressure when eating, which is not the point.

We celebrated our wedding in Burggaillenreuth in mid-August.From the champagne reception with appetizers as well as coffee and cake in the beer garden to the dinner in the knight's hall and the party in the vault with a fireplace and torches in the moat, everything was perfect. The location of Burggaillenreuth is simply ideal, you have peace and quiet there and are completely alone. The service was perfect all around, always friendly and always happy to have fun. 😀The food was a poem, the kitchen cooked excellently and all the guests raved about all the delicacies. 🤤We had booked all the rooms for ourselves and our guests after the party, they were clean and perfectly fine for one night. We will definitely come back to visit the beer garden in the future, we will remember our day forever! It was wonderful, thank you all so much for that! 🤩

Roast pork was very good. The starter salad was incredibly tasty and the pork fillet was a real highlight.Only the skin of the trout fillet was too salty.

Misleading opening times, probably only open to walk-in customers on Fridays. After the change of tenant, we wanted to stop by at least 10 times on a summer weekend and were always in front of closed doors with “closed society,” most recently on May 29th, 2024. As a walk-in customer you feel like you're being taken for a ride and it's obviously only meant to fill a gap. The old tenants managed to cater for both the beer garden and weddings/family celebrations, but they also didn't advertise an "event location". This economy is dead for us, luckily there are enough alternatives nearby (Leutzdorf, Gössweinstein).

The food was tasty, the environment is quiet, the forest is right next door, there are very few visitors. Food has its price, but it's understandable given the location.

Good value for moneyUnfortunately, the waitress became a rage when I wanted to pay by card and rudely said “I want the tip in cash”... I'm at a loss for words, so only 3 stars
