5 stars for the fresh, tasty grilled sausage, the warm, crispy rolls from the oven and the cold beer. Driving off the motorway in search of a restaurant before Meiningen, we stopped here thanks to the sign on the street of the inn. We always grill on Sundays. Admittedly, the ladies of the house are a bit grumpy and peculiar. But the nice gentleman at the grill knows his stuff. Absolutely to suggest.

2016: Relatives finally want to check in after a 6-hour drive. A woman reluctantly approaches us in the house. There is no greeting, the woman is very annoyed, suddenly she complains, gets louder and seems completely impossible. She is also bothered by the small dog that was previously registered at the boarding house and whose accommodation was even confirmed by the boarding house. She yelled that she had just finished cleaning. We can all just shake our heads and are speechless at first. I have never met such an unfriendly and disrespectful person (it was the owner's wife, who was visibly embarrassed by the situation when he found out everything) in this industry. The lady should undergo training on how to treat guests with respect, which should actually be a given. But the hops and malt are probably lost. What a cheeky tone and disrespectful behavior that makes others ashamed! You should avoid this guesthouse. There are plenty of other alternatives in Meiningen. In any case, this experience was the very last one! The first impression counts and if you don't want paying guests, then you shouldn't run a guesthouse, quite simply. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Very friendly reception. We ate a very, very tasty homemade Thuringian Rostbratwurst. That alone makes it worth a visit.
