This was one of my worst ever travel experiences. I booked, the hotel took my money and when I arrived I was met with locked doors and a notice stuck to the door saying that all the staff had left and gone to a party. …

Large parts of the hotel were rendered unusable by the flood. The room and especially the bathroom are very old and in need of renovation. Located directly on the Ahr, good breakfast, nice staff.

Very friendly owner who still has to bear the consequences of the flood in 2021. Just because of this disaster and the major consequences it had for this hotel, the environment and its residents, there should be more understanding for the somewhat inferior rooms. And by less I don't mean bad at all. The rooms are neat and spacious enough to stay for a few nights. The restaurant/winery next door has excellent food and even better wine. From the hotel you can walk just a few meters into the vineyards where you can enjoy the setting sun while enjoying a glass of wine you brought with you.

Unfortunately, the main house and the entrance area are still damaged by the flood.I was accommodated in the building next door. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly and the rooms were completely ok.

Hotel is operational. However, no swimming pool or restaurant!! Was not apparent when booking. Luckily there was a great restaurant next door (Nepomuk). Unfortunately, we were unlucky enough to have a room facing the broken railway track, where work was done very early in the morning. Since we could imagine that two years after the devastating flood everything would not be the same as before, we accepted it. Price was right.

Incredibly beautiful hotel which has traces of the violent floods in 2021. The reconstruction is made difficult by the Covid19 shutdown and bureaucratic tug-of-war. …
