fantastic situation high above the old city centre, splendid view to the Wartburg, still only a 30' walk to the Wartburg or to the Markt or Bachhaus.|Generous rooms, very friendly people, very good breakfast with all options, kitchen is very good, too.

This converted music school makes for a wonderful hotel experience. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel grounds were gorgeous as was the building. The hotel sits at the top of a hill with beautiful views, but a fairly narrow, winding road for access. You should be okay with some cautious driving. We could see Wartburg castle clearly from our bedroom window. The hotel breakfast was typical for what we saw in Germany. The buffet included coffee, fruit, juice, deli meat, rolls, etcetera. Bacon appeared to be by request. The breakfast room overlooks a forest, and has a clear view of Wartburg castle in the huge windows. If the weather allows, the breakfast room also has a large patio. The building has a lot of stairs. The front door has a set, as does the breakfast area, half the rooms, as well as the ballrooms. My wife and I were fine dragging luggage, but this is something to remember. The Americans with Disabilities Act does not apply to 100+ year old German historic buildings. If we go to Eisenach again, this hotel is top on our list.

This hotel was an absolute gem. I came with the express goal to visit the Wartburg the next morning, and the hotel was perfectly situated at the end of a gorgeous hiking trail that led directly to the castle. Everyone was very friendly, the food at the restaurant was good, if a bit expensive, and the location/views of the hotel are truly to die for. The single rooms are quite small, but it makes sense for the type of house you're staying in. All in all, the hotel is very clean and modern while still maintaining it's personality and charm. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking to visit the castle and have a leisurely time doing it.

The hotel is a gem, on a hilltop overlooking town and the Wartburg. The pleasant walking trail thru the woods saved our visit to the Wartburg when they closed the access road (maybe the parking lot was full?)--we simply drove to the hotel, …

We stayed at this beautiful inn in June for 2 nights. It is within walking distance (20 mins through a walking path in the woods) to the Wartburg. The trail system also connects with the Drachenschlucht (a must-see in the area).  …

My husband and I planned a spontaneous trip to Wartburg and booked this hotel the night before. The website is a bit old and hard to use so I booked through trip advisor. The drive up was hilariously a winding cobblestone road. …

I brought a group here and our bus actually didn't make it the first time up these very narrow switchbacks. But once you get to the top with the view of the Wartburg from some rooms and the dining area, it is worth the effort. The restaurant served great authentic German food and the rooms were sweet and comfortable.

The taxi from the station is 10EU. The hotel is located in a very nice part of town, surrounded by early 20th century upper class villas. …

Very nice. The food in the restaurant was of a high quality. Wonderful. The rooms were nice and comfy. The breakfast though was under par considering the potential of the kitchen. As far as the price and quality are concerned, they certainly match.
