The hotel is very quiet and secluded. Nevertheless, you can get to Eisenach very quickly by car. Otherwise: location, location, location! Truly unique and with a built-in view of the WartburgWe stayed in the corner suite, room 10, for 4 days. The suite did not offer a minibar or a safe. From our point of view, that's not possible at all. The minibar with one-time filling was even part of the service catalog (included in the price), at least that's how it was listed in "Guests ABC" until we were informed. The notice was then removed on 9/25/24.The very nice and attentive staff in the hotel and restaurant are outstanding. The cuisine is excellent, but the main courses are too limited for travelers with longer stays.We would no longer choose this suite in summer, as it is located directly above the hotel entrance and the terrace, which is certainly well attended until late.All in all, we were very satisfied and think that our suggestions might lead to small changes.

Very nicely located hotel near the fraternity monument outside the city. No public transport to the city.Breakfast is OK, although you would expect more in a 4 star hotel.The double room is unfortunately very small, more of a narrow hallway with an extension for the bed. A bedside table was converted into a desk. On the wall opposite the bed is a narrow shelf.Closet and clothes rail are available and sufficiently large. The bathroom is small but sufficient.But the view of Wartburg Castle from the window makes up for a lot.There is a restaurant with a beautiful terrace.

A very nice 4 star hotel, located high above the city next to the fraternity monument.From the terrace you have a great view of the Wartburg.to the hotel itself:A nice hotel under new management.Good range of food, small menu, but there is something for every taste. The portions are good enough,at a fair price.Contrary to other reviews, the staff was friendly and accommodating.The suite we stayed in was large and well furnished, with the exception of the lack of a safe and minibar, exceptional for a 4-star hotel.The room cleaning was satisfactory.If you book here, you won't make a mistake, but you have the disadvantage of living far away from city life.

Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights on our way to Saxon Switzerland.We had booked half board, so we could enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet with several types of cheese and various tasty meats (just well prepared!) and in the evening we were allowed to sit on the sunny terrace for a 3-course menu. I highly recommend the steak and chocolate cake. My husband was also allowed to have a cheese board for dessert. That's friendly and looked fantastic (he really liked it too).In the area we took the tour through the Drachenslucht and also visited the Elf Cave. Recommended!And in Eisenach we took a walk past Bach's birthplace, the house where Martin Luther once lived and visited the car museum with its history of BMW, Wartburg and Opel. And of course we also climbed the dome next to the hotel for an even greater view.

It's always nice to see such historically significant buildings being cared for and managed!I was in the area to visit the fraternity memorial.I was on the terrace of the restaurant and tried Thuringian dumplings for the first time.The food was very tasty and the service was also satisfactory.All in all, definitely recommended!Added to this is the magnificent view of the Wartburg Castle, which is also steeped in history!

A great location with a beautiful view from the restaurant terrace. We had booked a mini suite with a view of the Wartburg. The rooms were very small/cramped, the ceiling was very low and the furniture was pretty worn out (90s?). The view from the room was already there, but the windows were very small, so the view could only be enjoyed while standing. Positive: the bed/mattress was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. And because of the heat, the air conditioning was very pleasant. Maybe a normal double room would have been enough in terms of size?The food in the restaurant was tasty and the portions were large, but the style was more down-to-earth.

We had a wonderful wedding there.Location, staff, cuisine all at its best and full number of stars.Only the room is getting old and not worthy of a 4 star hotel.Example: In the bathroom, the tiles in the shower area were not replaced, but simply painted over.Of course, mold and mildew come through again...Example: elevator.....this would certainly need service again. Because after you had pressed the target floor, the elevator "jerked" down, what felt like 30cm...

This hotel is just amazing. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this hotel is definitely in the top 3. If not the best so far. I had a double room for single use. I also found the prices for a room to be very reasonable.The room was quite small but very clean and extremely comfortable. I slept almost as well as I did at home. The bathroom was very nice and had a shower and bathtub.The staff and the restaurant are also great. From the behavior of the staff and the look of the restaurant, you would think you were in a chic, luxurious bunker. But you are still treated like a human being and not condescendingly. Extremely friendly and nice. Requests were also addressed.The location of the hotel rounds it all off. Located on a mountain right next to a tourist attraction, you can see the entire city. And the highlight is a fantastic view of the Wartburg.My final conclusion:any time. Absolute recommendation

The service is passionately driven by a lively tea bag employee who gets involved in everything and doesn't go against the guest in any way. If the guests want to stay longer, he tries to cash in on most of the guests. He probably never learned anything about table service, since the customer has to put everything he ordered out himself. No response to written complaints to the new, young management. I'm curious as to how such a star-awarded hotel would survive in this day and age. Because to this day the customer is king and not the employee.
