Nice location, but at the end of August the dining options close by are closed.Rooms without fridge, kettle or other comforts.Very unfriendly operator; After breakfast, I personally put the luggage of my friend, whom I picked up there at 11 a.m., in front of the door and locked the house behind her. Hospitality to die for!!

A very nice hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, everything you need for a good night's sleep. Very quiet location. Everything very clean. The host is a very nice person. We received a very friendly welcome. The breakfast is very, very good, large selection. A very beautiful garden around the house invites you to linger.That's why I give it 10 out of 5 stars and can only recommend it.

When I saw the rather bad reviews here on Google after booking, I was nervous, but none of the negative experiences happened to me. I received a warm welcome, the host was very nice, the breakfast was completely okay and the rooms were completely adequate. to have a restful sleep. The furnishings are not modern, but that would have irritated me. The mattresses were okay, everything was clean and the bottom line is that the price/performance is really good.

The only positive thing I can say is that there is a very nice environment there.The hotel is unfortunately still very old-fashioned and in keeping with the standards of the 70s/80s.Despite a member of our group canceling early, the full price was charged. There were only handwritten invoices which were very confusing. The breakfast wasn't that great but still OK.In any case, “guest is king” is not the order of the day there.It's a real shame, they probably weren't too prepared for clarification either. After several phone calls, which, strangely, always ended, we wrote things down because we still had a long journey home.In any case, we would have been very happy to be accommodated.I can therefore no longer recommend this accommodation.

One person in our tour group canceled early. The full invoice amount was still charged. Unfortunately we had to pay under time pressure (after the rather straightforward breakfast). It was known at the accommodation that we had to leave early for scheduling reasons. We have requested the invoices twice before. However, we were always put off. In retrospect, you naturally ask yourself whether this was a calculation so that we couldn't properly check and compare the invoices.Very unfortunate. Unfortunately, you now feel ripped off. Strangely enough, during two phone calls to the house, the connection was always lost. They don't seem interested in clarification.In a guesthouse you can ignore the room furnishings and the really not good breakfast. However, such treatment of guests is impossible.My son read the reviews shortly before arrival and was skeptical because of the unfriendliness that was often mentioned. We explained to him in front of the guesthouse door that if he is friendly, the other person will be too. Unfortunately, in this case we were wrong.The option to pay was also interesting. It was insisted that the travel group's money (with 4 handwritten statements without the number of people or number of overnight stays) be collected and placed on a plate at the counter. No questions were answered at all. Due to the time pressure, we of course then added up the bills and collected them. The lady counted the money collected and asked for another 30 euros because it wasn't enough. Luckily we did the math and counted twice beforehand. Really audacious.I recommend official, computer-aided, comprehensible booking management with card payment.

Unfortunately I have to give one star at this point because there is no option for zero stars. I advise everyone not to choose this accommodation when visiting the Black Forest. The bathrooms are too small, the coffee was cold, breakfast was a rather meager meal on both days of our stay and the furnishings in the rooms were antique.All of this would have been bearable if the staff had shown even a shred of friendliness. Unfortunately, the woman working there was incredibly rude, almost hostile, towards the guests. She demanded a cash payment on the morning of our departure (in 2023!), there was only a handwritten invoice and the price was still charged for a room that was canceled on time, which our travel group didn't notice until too late because we were splitting the payment among ourselves under time pressure.LGA disappointed guest

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars. This accommodation is ridiculous, it only accepts cash payments! The breakfast is very poor and wasn't even enough for our group. Coffee was cold and undrinkable. The room furnishings have not been updated for decades. The small TV was hidden in a cupboard and not even connected. The bathroom is very small and the shower head always falls off and the water is never consistently warm and gets pretty cold every few seconds. There were cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and dead spiders lay behind the bedside table.I do not recommend this accommodation.
