I am very enthusiastic about this hotel. The staff is more than super friendly and helpful. The food is great, so delicious, that's why this hotel is worth a trip. The wellness offer is small but includes everything you need to recharge your batteries.will definitely come back.

Excellent food! Never eaten ray outside of France and the combination here with artichokes was very successful. The main course was also convincing. Unfortunately, I ate too much of the delicious seed bread so that I could hardly enjoy the dessert. The next day I bought the seed bread in the shop next door, which was still juicy and aromatic even after days. We will definitely come back!

A nice little hotel very centrally located.Pretty rooms with everything you need.The wellness spa area is very clean, pure relaxation in the saunas and lounger areas.The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, there is a large selection of gluten-free dishes available without prior ordering. The service at breakfast was very caring and magical. There is only one big negative point for the ray fin on the menu.

We had a great day at the cooking class at Restaurant Sonne! Mr. Rombach and his team in the kitchen provided a lot of fun and new knowledge. You notice how carefully the ingredients are chosen and how much attention is paid to sustainability. Great food, beautifully presented - and all with a suitable wine accompaniment. Never again Hotel Sonne in St. PeterWe found out about the rooms in the hotel for a 2-day stay via the hotel's homepage. From this one had to conclude that all rooms had been renovated and were equipped as shown in the pictures, i.e. bright and with wooden floors. Since we really wanted a room with a shower and not a bathtub (according to the homepage there are also rooms only with a bathtub), we clarified this over the phone.When we arrived we discovered that our comfort double room (No. 7) didn't have a wooden floor, but a somewhat old carpet, which was actually a no-go for us. There was also a chaise longue and an opulent armchair in the rather small room, so you could hardly move around in it. The room had a shower, but also a bathtub. Unfortunately, the entrance to the shower was more than 40 centimeters high, so you had to be extremely careful not to slip when leaving the shower, as you had to get out very low from the wet floor.We had booked the room with half board because we had heard about the outstanding quality of the kitchen in the hotel. The kitchen offers cooking courses. For dinner on the day of arrival, we were assigned a table right by the entrance door; in Baden we call this a “cat table”. When we asked for another table, we were told that this was not possible because all the tables had been planned for a long time. However, we later discovered that not all of the guests in the dining room were overnight guests, but rather came from outside. These guests seem to be more important to the hotel than their house guests!The half board included a 4-course meal, which we were really looking forward to. Unfortunately we had to wait more than an hour between the soup (2nd course) and the main course!! The kitchen was probably totally overwhelmed by the full restaurant!On both days the food offered was ok, but nothing more. There was a lack of spices and some combinations were strange, for example beef supposedly cooked sous-vide (pink inside, but unfortunately tough) and a piece of sauerbraten, both with the same sour sauce?!The walls of the room were very noisy, so you could easily hear the neighbor's television program. There is also a wooden staircase next to this room 7 that leads upstairs - we assume to the rooms of employees. Since there is no sound insulation here either, you were woken up at 6 a.m. by the sound of feet on the stairs.For breakfast on the first morning we were told that you could choose any table in the breakfast room. The buffet in the breakfast room was set out on a long table in the middle, but since there were not only house guests but also external people there for breakfast, the crowd at the buffet was sometimes very large, so that it was almost impossible to serve yourself. The ingredients for the muesli were rich and good. On the second day we chose any table in the breakfast room again. However, we were then “drawn to the attention” quite harshly that we were sitting at the “wrong” table; we probably hadn’t taken note of the numbers on the tables. However, we were mercifully allowed to remain seated at the “wrong” table!We knew the faces of the innkeepers from the homepage and could see that they walked through the restaurant, but unfortunately only greeted people they knew; they didn't present themselves as innkeepers.When we left, we left all these defects at the reception and were assured that the innkeepers would contact us about this. We waited two weeks to write this review, but unfortunately no one got back to us. It doesn't seem to be important, we only booked for 2 days!Summary: We will never visit this hotel and restaurant again, as the quality should be good even in a simple hotel and restaurant. We don't understand the good reviews.

A wonderful, mindful atmosphere. Stylish and a great team where every requirement is met. The cuisine is second to none. Thank you for the wonderful ambience, team and food. We look forward to the next visit.

First of all, we 'only' had dinner. We came without much expectation and left full, with a soulful look and surprised at what an incredible treat this cuisine had conjured up on the plate! Tasty, visual, sophistication, ingredients used: 5 stars, there's no other way to put it! It's been a long time since I've eaten such a delicious menu (Sonne Menu).
