The guesthouse is fine, good rooms, bright and clean. A good starting point for activities in the southern Harz. The friendliness of the owners is not very pronounced. Questions or factual information are answered in a dismissive tone.The restaurant, which is not part of the guesthouse but is located in the same building, is advertised as a gourmet cuisine.What should I think of an award-winning chef sitting smoking in front of the restaurant entrance? A rainbow trout with leaf spinach costs 27 euros. So far so good, but when our food came there was less than half a fillet on the plate. In addition, the fish was fried dry. My friend, with whom we were here, had the braised highland beef for 28 euros. Unfortunately the same thing here, the meat was tender but dry. In a restaurant like this, at prices like this, I expect a juicy piece of fish and a juicy piece of meat. Except for the portion size. It's hard to get full from one main course alone. We had eaten here the day before and had similar experiences. The time we waited for the food was just under an hour.The service staff always gave us the impression that they were overworked. An additional request was usually only fulfilled upon second thought. Conclusion: From the outside, this restaurant gives the impression of upscale gastronomy with high standards, which are, however, not fulfilled. Value for money is not available.I'm sorry to give such an assessment, but all four of us didn't feel comfortable here.

Very nice guesthouse in a great, scenic, very quiet location and still close to the southern Harz tourist attractions! Friendly courteous staff. Nice and very clean room with a well-stocked minibar with small snacks at moderate prices. Attractive in-house restaurant with excellent dinner. Best Thuringian Rostbrätel that I got in 40 years in Thuringia! Great, very varied breakfast. Makes you want to stay longer if the price level were a little more compatible with a less generous income. For a short weekend getaway, I'd love to come back again.

Very quiet location, the hosts of the guesthouse are a super nice couple.The rooms are very nicely decorated.Breakfast every day with lots of love and fresh sausage from the butcher as well as scrambled eggs and boiled eggs etc.We can only recommend this guesthouse.We liked it very muchLG Hartmann family

Unfortunately we only stayed in the panoramic room for one night. Very friendly welcome, good sufficient breakfast, good room facilities with balcony and view of the garden. Everything was perfect for us! Gladly again!

Location and hotel rooms are fine. The staff is sometimes a bit rude and unfriendly.Edit: I would now like to provide a summary of the statement I gave previously. I also underline the “politeness” of the service by the fact that a male member of the staff (perhaps even the owner) smiled at me, who was admittedly still a very young man at the time, when I inquired about the prices in the hotel restaurant. He told me that I couldn't afford such food anyway. Looking back several years later, it was still extremely unfriendly behavior. They only seem to want money from a select group of clients.

Fantastic place with a great staff and a wonderful view. The only downside is that the cellular service is non existent and the WiFi some times doesn’t work. Besides that it is wonderful.

I only did a preliminary hike so I could climb the newly built tower later. The manager of the guesthouse was happy to give me comprehensive information. Unfortunately he also had to explain a Rüdigsdorf problem to me. There is a lack of necessary parking spaces. The infrastructure here is still in disrepair. With the new tower building there will definitely be a lot of day guests who will of course need a parking space. The environment is unique. Just gypsum karst area. All early bloomers are present. Up to the orchids later. The jungle path is rustic. This moderately difficult hiking area has to be experienced to be believed.

I arrived late in the evening and everything was very quiet. Taking the keys out of the key safe outside was easy. The room was well furnished, even a small, stocked refrigerator and snacks were available. The bathroom was clean and well-kept, and the room itself was big enough for two people. The mattress was really great, I haven't slept so well in a hotel/pension for a long time. The location is rural (mobile phone reception o2 and Vodafone quite poor, but WiFi was good), there is enough parking space at the guesthouse or on the street in front of it. There is also a restaurant in the guesthouse itself, but it was closed when I arrived (closed day). The hosts were very friendly and attentive - overall nothing to complain about! 😉

The facility is already a bit old.What really annoys me is that you can only connect 1 device to the WiFi. Since there is no mobile phone network in this wasteland, you can only make calls via WhatsApp or similar. With just one device on WiFi, you can forget about making calls while working on your laptop.

I attended the crime dinner with my colleague. My conclusion is: The food was of absolutely excellent quality, it tasted excellent, I can only recommend it. The service was also very good, especially at such a large event.The actors were also very good. It was worth an experience.

Nicely located and very good parking spaces. Were here for a family celebration with an overnight stay. Rooms clean and well maintained. Dinner was very good, breakfast was rich, something for everyone. Staff very friendly. Is highly recommended. Thanks to the entire team.

Nice guesthouse not far from Nordhausen, nice rooms and an extensive breakfast buffet, unfortunately the restaurant was closed at short notice and we were only informed on the day of arrival

The hotel is located in a small, sleepy village, about 5 km from Nordhausen. The restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. So if you want to eat something and drink a beer after work, you have to forego the beer and eat in Nordhausen. My room was really small, right under the roof. Not fun in the middle of summer. Brutal heat. Air conditioning is missing. I couldn't ask for a fan. The reception is closed from 6 p.m. and no one is there anymore. Just pension. There was also no luggage rack in the room. If you would like to take a hot shower after jogging in the forest - there is no chance that the water will be anything more than lukewarm. Breakfast is very minimalistic. There are individually freshly prepared scrambled eggs. But compared to other hotels in this price range (room costs €80.00), not a great breakfast. Privacy isn't really taken into account either. The room was entered despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign. This is an absolute no go for me
