We stayed in the holiday apartment at the top of the roof (number 8?) for 5 days and were both really excited. The apartment was absolutely fantastic for this price! Spacious, equipped with everything you need and, above all, with a large balcony with a stunning view! The location on the outskirts in combination with the east-facing balcony makes the view even better. We would and will definitely like to come back!

Apartment 8 was simply perfect for our short vacation! It is well furnished - we found everything we needed. The balcony with its fantastic view of mountains and meadows is a real highlight.The quiet location on the outskirts is ideal for relaxing, but all important points of contact are still within walking distance. After long hiking tours, this apartment is the perfect retreat. The very good price-performance ratio and the friendliness of the landlady round off the positive experience. Absolutely recommended!

We cannot understand the negative, sometimes contradictory reviews. The owner is an Allgäu original with a big heart and a dry sense of humor, which as a North German you may be able to deal with better than sensitive souls. If you ask, you not only get advice on really good restaurants, but also the locals' weather knowledge before going on hikes! Our place was clean, tidy and comfortable. Anyone expecting a hotel suite with room service may of course be disappointed. The house is in a "central location": you have peace and quiet with a wonderful view of the mountains of the Trettach and Oytals and the Freiberg and yet only a short distance from the Hammerspitzweg to the village for shopping, to the Faltbachtobel, to nature in general and also to the train station. In any case, we love coming to the 'Gästehaus Mariandl' again and again and are looking forward to a pleasant holiday. Anyone who feels comfortable here has the potential to become a regular guest.

It's been a while since our stay because I just couldn't find the right words for what I experienced.Upon arrival and entry into the house,At first we noticed a very unpleasant musty smellwas. I would love to be there againgone.The rooms were clean, but are no longer up to date, as are the washed and uneven bed linen.Wouldn't have been so bad...But.... Not even breakfastwas able to score.... Very unloving, instead of fresh eggs there were colorful eggs 🙈The coffee was just terribly coldand not freshly cooked.No matter what, everything was probably counted out and wasn't replenished... rolls, jam, cheese, sausage.The rooms smelled after we returned from the excursionsvery strong after cleaning products andwere also very cooled down.We've never had it so badused.PLUS POINT:• Parking spaces in front of the house• very centrally located

The hostess doesn't care about her guests at all. We had the feeling that she was hiding from her guests. Guests' requests are not responded to or are responded to very abruptly. Breakfast is kept to a minimum but fresh every morning. There is no fruit or yogurt. The outside area resembles a garbage dump.The positive thing is the beds.

The rooms are large, clean and with a balcony but are shabby. The service is very bad, we had to go without eggs for breakfast throughout our stay because apparently no eggs were delivered. We asked for grain rolls but we didn't have a chance to get any here either. The landlady sets out breakfast (a platter of sausage and cheese) before the guests arrive and then you don't see them anymore. This accommodation is not recommended. It's high season and we are the only guests????. The smell in the building is unacceptable and the outdoor area is very unkempt. Poor charging and storage facilities for e-bikes.

We had a super clean room with a modern bathroom and a great view of the mountains. The service was very good and the atmosphere was quite familiar, which was reflected in various conversations in the hallway.All in all, we were very satisfied with this accommodation and would recommend it to others.

We stayed there for 2 nights in October 2015.The room furnishings were a bit old, but clean.I had never experienced that you had to pay for the room in advance.As soon as you left the room and came back, the radiators were turned off everywhere, even though it was a little colder outside.There was no room service and the wastebasket was not emptied. On the day of departure, the bathroom was sprayed with an extremely aggressive smelling cleaner during breakfast time, so that it was almost impossible to get in afterwards.The breakfast was very clear.There were plenty of rolls, sausage and cheese.If something ran out of the “breakfast buffet”, nothing was added.Rolls tasted like they were from the day before, but baked.The price/performance ratio doesn't match here at all.
