We booked the holiday home “Seven Sleepers” last week and can say that everything was to our utmost satisfaction! From the equipment, we didn't miss anything, right through to the service. People kept asking if we needed anything. Very careful, insightful, friendly. The furnishings in the house were very high quality and up to date. The fireplace looks great. The view from the house was simply fantastic and if you like silence and nature, this is the right place for you. If you want, you can book breakfast additionally, which is what we did. Very happy again!

From booking to departure, absolutely everything was perfect. Thank you! Friendly, helpful, a super nice property, centrally located, really great, high quality and comfortable, yet modernly furnished apartment. Parking spaces very close to the apartment. All in all, highly recommended! We would definitely come back and have already recommended it to our friends.

We have chosen the ideal location. You can start so many hikes from here, even without a car. The guesthouse is idyllically located, with a wonderful view. Our hosts are extremely nice people. We were happy to be your guests.

Wonderful hosts, Grandma Brigitte put a smile on our faces every morning. Whether it was your scrambled eggs or your hospitable, loving care.Our apartment called Gansfels 1 (large sandstone apartment) was great. Visually it was very cozy with two balconies, a fireplace and lots of wood used in the design and furniture. One room has a large double bed, and the smaller room has a single bed and a pull-out second bed. Lots of storage space and everything you could want in the kitchen (even coffee & tea, refrigerator and oven, stove available), as well as the guest room with sofa and dining table, as well as games for children and adults. Bathroom was a very modern feast for the eyes (open shower and large bathtub). Everything was very well maintained and clean.Yes, OK, both inns require a fairly strenuous climb, but with a car (automatic) you can get up quite easily. Otherwise, just use the Waderl again and complete the climb on foot. You get a little fitter every day!On this hill you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the sandstone formations, a reward for every sore muscle every evening and every morning... heheKind regards to the hosts and employees of the Sandsteinidyll, we left happily and the bird house, from the owner of the house, has already found its place with us.Fam.Wicke/Bohm

The accommodation is beautifully located, right in the heart of a wonderful hiking area. The holiday home “Siebenschlucher” offers first-class facilities. Particularly noteworthy are the cozy little oven and the private whirlpool, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view.The hosts are extremely friendly and always helpful, which further increases the feel-good factor.

Great service and accommodation. The location is just great, even if the access is a bit steep :-)

We were there for 10 days in August 2024. Rented the chalet. Wonderfully located. The view (also from your “own” whirlpool) of the valley, the bastion and the green meadows all around. Very quiet. Just the thing to simply switch off. For self-catering. Bike rental is just down the street. The employees are very polite, courteous and not intrusive, although the services offered are communicated respectfully. Privacy is respected.You have to pay attention to your head in the bedroom (sz). The bedroom is upstairs and the ceiling is very low. We had no problems with it at all and just spent our time up there to sleep; therefore no point deduction.The already mentioned whirlpool is a dream and ideal for relaxing moments.The only thing that could be criticized is the lack of loungers. There is a large table, 4 chairs and a large parasol on the terrace. Basically sufficient, we would have just liked to have had loungers. But no reason to deduct points because it was absolutely fine and beautiful. A grill (electric) is also available.A parking space was also available upstairs.Thanks to the hosts for the time in this beautiful sandstone idyll.FGDr. Steffens

Super nice apartment with a wonderful view in a quiet location. Check-in was easy and very friendly! The host gave us great tips for hiking with dogs.It's only a 30-minute walk (uphill) to the Bastei Bridge.It was a really great stay all around, we would come back at any time!

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending two wonderful weeks in the sandstone idyll Haus Siebenlaufener in the health resort of Rathen an der Elbe in Saxon Switzerland. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience!Location:The holiday home is idyllically located on a sandstone mountain on the edge of the health resort of Rathen. The location is simply fantastic, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains of Saxon Switzerland. The peace and seclusion of the place made our stay particularly relaxing, while the proximity to hiking trails and sights made it the ideal starting point for discovery.Equipment:The Sandsteinidyll Haus Siebenschläger offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay and a very well-equipped kitchen. We were particularly thrilled by the beautiful terrace, which offers an incomparable view of the surrounding mountains - we spent many hours here and enjoyed nature to the fullest. Another highlight was the whirlpool, which offered the perfect relaxation after a day of hiking. The bedroom on the loft was cozy and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We weren't able to use the fireplace due to the lovely summer weather in August, but that wasn't a problem as we spent most of our time outside anyway. Only when it rained occasionally did we retreat into the house, which then offered us a cozy and cool refuge.Cleanliness:The house was in immaculate condition when we arrived. The cleanliness of the entire house, from the fresh bed linen and towels to the sparkling bathroom, was impeccable and made our stay very pleasant.Host:The Kleinstäuber family was a wonderful host. Even before our stay, communication was smooth and extremely friendly. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome, the perfect instruction and the many helpful tips on restaurants, excursions and hidden gems in the region, which enriched our stay. We were happy about the very good bottle of wine that we were given as a welcome gift.Vicinity:The surroundings of the holiday home are simply spectacular. The health resort of Rathen offers a wonderful combination of peace, nature and cultural highlights. The proximity to the Elbe and the numerous hiking trails, such as the Malerweg, was a big advantage. The greed cable ferry, the pier for the historic paddle steamers, the famous bastion and the Rathen rock stage are just some of the highlights that make a stay in this region so special. The opportunity to immerse ourselves daily in the fascinating rocky landscape of Saxon Switzerland made our stay unforgettable.Overall conclusion:Our stay at the Sandsteinidyll Haus Siebenlaufen was simply perfect. The holiday home offers an ideal mix of comfort, idyllic location and warm hospitality. My wife and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable time in Saxon Switzerland. One thing is certain for us: the sandstone idyll will definitely be our first choice again on our next trip to this region.
