We can't say anything about the guesthouse as we only had lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit hidden in a side street up the mountain, but the journey there is definitely worth it. The landlady was very friendly, despite the large number of guests, service was quick, the selection of food and drinks was sufficient, there was a bit of everything. There is even a special children's menu for children.The food was tasty, the portions were enough to fill everyone, and all at a fair price.A clear recommendation.

Very nice restaurant. Staff very friendly. Food delicious. Despite the fact that we only had about an hour, we ate very well. The staff tried very hard to ensure that everything was on time. Thank you very much for that.

It was a great experience to come here.The location was very clean and tidy.Very nice atmosphere and an incredibly beautiful view outside.The hostess was very friendly and had a positive attitude.The dishes were all very tasty and tasty.The portions were plentiful and very nicely prepared.Even during the short waiting time, the hostess always took a little time to have a word with us.Topics such as country and people were recommended to us in a very informative way.We can only recommend it and guarantee you who want to find out for yourself... It's definitely worth it.We will definitely come back and enjoy.

When I stopped here to have a coffee, I was amazed by the beautiful panorama.I drank a pot of coffee and ate a delicious piece of strawberry cake with cream.The service was very nice and accommodating.Unfortunately, I can't understand how a pot of coffee has to be so expensive. For a coffee of this type I need 20 g of coffee powder, which is around 30 cents for the pot! So on sale 1.20 euros.

The location halfway up the mountain is very special, and the decoration is very warm and comfortable. The meals in the restaurant are generous.

There are very tasty dishes, very tasty beer, very friendly service, especially towards children and a very nice view. You can also pay with card and cash. Thank you for your wonderful work. I hope we come back!

A recommended guesthouse in a great location. Below the Rhododendron Park above Rathen with a view of the Amsel Valley.Very nice landlady and good breakfast. Many regular guests who are already booking for next year. Equipment commensurate with the price, no luxury but practical, adequate and clean. Very quiet location.I'll be back next year at the latest.

Could be betterBeautiful view of the town of Rathen and the valley entrance to the rock stage.An approximately 100m long steep ramp with a gradient of significantly more than 6% leads up to the guesthouse restaurant. Therefore not barrier-free.Since we didn't stay overnight, we're not reviewing the guesthouse and only the restaurant.Service very boyish, despite not being very busy, not very hospitable towards customers. Kindness costs nothing! Apparently you don't have to rely on customers here and sales fall from the sky.Food was OK, but not outstanding.Starter Soljanka (5.90 €) was ok, main course we had sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage (approx. 19.90 €) and, according to the menu, "crispy" pork knuckle with sauerkraut etc.! 2! Potatoes (approx. €17.90).The sauerbraten was good. The pork knuckle was 50% crispy on the outside, the rest was very flabby. Here the chef didn't test anything before the food went out. Meat was very tender. Sauce very thin. Overall, not a better taste experience. Espresso (approx. €2.90) and espresso ice cream with espresso (approx. €4.90) were good, but came at different times. Untrained service or poorly instructed by the boss.Everything is reasonable in terms of price, but the overall quality is below the price level and therefore doesn't fit together overall.The naturally cloudy beer from the Pirna brewery was very tasty. The wine selection was also ok.Toilet was clean.It is best to book a table in advance. The kitchen closes at 8 p.m.Ambiance/location 3 out of 5Service 1 out of 5Food 2.5 out of 5Price-performance ratio 2.5 out of 5---------------------------------------------------------------- ------Overall rating 2 out of 5Conclusion:Food average. Service friendliness is poor, which can no longer be justified with Saxon charm.

It was a very nice Pentecost weekend with you. Everything was very clean, comfortably furnished and the breakfast was rich. The dinner was perfect in terms of price-performance ratio. Incredibly tasty and the first restaurant in a long time where you really get full.The location of the guesthouse is absolutely brilliant. The bastion and the Rathen rock stage are within walking distance. We were there for the premiere of Shatterhand, highly recommended!
