We booked the hotel for 4 nights. We had already been traveling for several days when we received a cancellation the day before arrival with very poor justification ("technical reasons"). No replacement was offered whatsoever so we got into trouble. Not a reliable partner!

We were guests of Silvia and Johann Lemberger in the Altmugler Sonne.The reservation worked perfectly.We had booked a candlelight dinner. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Lemberger and shown to a very lovingly decorated table with candles, hearts and flowers.The menu was already on the table; However, they were specifically asked whether they were satisfied with the dishes, had any special requests or whether they didn't like/couldn't eat something (due to intolerances, etc.).Here, too, I liked the fact that you weren't spoiled for choice and you just let the chef do it.The restaurant is divided into two areas/guest rooms; However, on this day (Sunday lunchtime/afternoon) only one of them was occupied.The service (Mrs. Lemberger takes care of this herself) was very friendly, courteous and warm without being intrusive. It's somehow constantly present without you feeling like you have to give up some of your own privacy (everyone knows that awkward moment when you interrupt an exciting topic of conversation because the waiter is just refilling the drink).Due to the small number of guests, the atmosphere is quite intimate and calm.From the greetings from the kitchen to the dessert, the food was simply wonderfully harmonious, incredibly tasty and simply special. The dishes were also very well prepared and the ingredients were wonderfully fresh; This was particularly evident in the salad (tasted like it was fresh from the garden) and the tender meat (beef and seafood). The price-performance ratio was simply right.Everyone should get their own idea of ​​the Altmugl sun, the fantastic food and the lovely people behind it.We definitely felt very special that evening and did something really good for ourselves.We will certainly come back!

We ate exceptionally well and felt very comfortable. However, you have to take a longer journey to get there.

Went just to eat without staying overnight. We previously went to Sybillen Bad, 5 km away, for renovations. We received a very tasty 3-course menu at a fair price, and my gluten intolerance was also taken into account 100 percent. I'd love to come by again. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.
