We had a wonderful stay here. Very pleasant indoor climate, surrounded by lush nature. An oasis of calm. Delicious breakfast, vegan if desired, with nice little surprises. We booked the guesthouse in particular because of the option to have a gluten-free breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, reliably gluten-free and there were freshly prepared ingredients and home-baked rolls on the table every morning. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.Very entertaining hosts.

We are repeat offenders. Villa Weißig is lovingly run and we look forward to the varied, fantastic breakfast every morning. Anyone looking for real relaxation is in good hands here - without WiFi. We look forward to cuddling sheep and exploring the area every day, which we can do very well even without a car. We'd love to come back!

Lovingly run house, the breakfast is always a big surprise. The Seifert couple always had great tips and it was fun to talk to them.The guesthouse was absolutely quiet on a hill, which sometimes made the daily walk back difficult.I can recommend the guesthouse with a good feeling...

Anyone who likes to be pampered with delicious, homemade, sufficient and varied organic products for breakfast, coupled with warm conversations with the hosts, a thoroughly ecological living facility and, thank God, a Wi-Fi-free house in a wonderfully quiet natural oasis, is here spot on. Anyone looking for peace and quiet will find it here. We got exactly the feel-good atmosphere that is advertised on the website. The villa is also a very good starting point for hikes in Saxon Switzerland and the Malerweg is simply fantastic.

With Villa Weissig, the Seifert family has created a wonderful place of peace and relaxation. We were there for a week and really enjoyed the time. One of the highlights is the breakfast. An absolute culinary delight for people who, like us, eat a whole plant-based diet. Every day there were homemade spreads, sweet pastries and delicious fruit from our own garden. I can't fully list the diversity here. The garden, which I would almost describe as a park, is the next highlight because it is natural and incredibly colorful, but extremely well maintained. The quarrels between great spotted woodpeckers, jays, magpies & Co. over the redst cherries were a spectacle :)We stayed in a holiday apartment and felt very comfortable. You can see that the owners have put a lot of thought into it with great attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the sheep, who are real cuddlers. You can simply enjoy your life with the Seifert family and are really inviting you to linger and slow down.We rarely travel to a place a second time, but if we end up in Saxon Switzerland again, we will definitely come back to Villa Weissig.Thank you very much again, dear Seifert family, for the great time we were able to spend with you.

The eco-pension Villa Weissig is uniquely located on the edge of the forest, slightly elevated above the Elbe valley, and offers excellent peace and a wonderful overview of the great landscape. The house is equipped according to ecological and sustainable aspects. In our opinion, the spacious rooms are very comfortable and practical.The vegetarian breakfast is great. Various home-made cream cheeses, cheese, raw vegetables, jams, a basket of bread and rolls, hot drinks of your choice, smoothies and a dessert or a piece of cake leave you wanting for nothing.Ms. Seifert is very friendly, accommodating and fulfills all wishes wherever possible - a perfect hostess.You can easily vacation here without a car, as the train station, the ferry and a bus stop are within walking distance.Perfect for non-smokers who want to relax from the stress of the big city!!

The guesthouse is located a little above the Elbe, a few minutes' walk from the ferry in Rathen, right next to the highlights of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and yet a little away from the heavily frequented railway line with loud freight trains. This small fact alone makes the guesthouse extremely interesting compared to the many others in the valley.The house has been beautifully renovated ecologically and offers large and lovingly furnished rooms or two, in my opinion, luxurious apartments. It is immediately noticeable that everything was done as if it were for yourself. There are enough shelves and a large cupboard (with enough hangers - unfortunately this is not a given elsewhere!). Everything is very clean and decorated in warm tones. We definitely felt very comfortable from the first minute.Yes, this guesthouse is different from other accommodations. This is also noticeable at breakfast: For us as coffee lovers, a good morning drink was particularly important and we were not disappointed! Overall, we had the impression that the hostess really cared about quality and ecology. We were served wonderfully created spreads, smoothies, crispy wholemeal rolls, organic cheese and home-baked cakes. Everything very fresh and delicious. But not for people who always want to eat the same thing...The contact and the interesting, almost family-like conversations were also very friendly. Yes, it was another very successful vacation!

We spent a wonderful time at Villa Weißig in the best sunny October weather.The “enchanted” garden, the meadows with sheep around them, the ideal place to slow down.The holiday apartment is lovingly and consistently furnished with high-quality ecological materials.Highly recommended for ecologically conscious people.

Rarely have we returned from a vacation feeling so relaxed and, I would say, grounded. The eco-pension advertises on its website that it is a place of peace and quiet and that's exactly what we found there and that's exactly what we wanted: no noise, no hustle and bustle, no internet, etc.I finally had time to read two books that I had wanted to read for a long time.Every morning a lovingly, individually prepared vegetarian breakfast awaited us. You can feel the love and passion of the Seifert family in every corner of the house. Thanks for the wonderful time!

The eco-pension Villa Weissig is beautifully located in the heart of Saxon Switzerland. You have a fantastic view of Königstein and are surrounded by greenery. The health resort of Rathen, S-Bahn and ferry can be reached on foot in just a few minutes, making the villa a perfect starting point for getting around Saxony without a car. Recommended.The property has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are clean and tidy and the sanitary facilities leave nothing to be desired.Nevertheless, a bad aftertaste remains. From the beginning you got the feeling that you were in someone's home but were a nuisance or weren't particularly welcome and were just tolerated. The reception was already very cold, probably because we only arrived shortly before check-in closed. In the villa you feel like you have to whisper all the time so as not to disturb anyone. There is a sign in the room telling you to use coasters. Another sign explains how to use the toilet. As a paying guest, I find something like this extremely inappropriate. There is no WiFi, which is simply not up to date and very inconvenient these days. Also, no decent television, only DVBT public broadcasts. You might be thinking that you aren't in Saxony to watch TV. That's probably true, but if you're traveling in the cold season when you only have daylight until 4:30 p.m., it would have been nice to maybe watch a little TV in the evening.The biggest point of criticism, however, was the breakfast. The breakfast room also invites you to whisper. The hostess is certainly trying hard, but you can't shake the feeling of being a bother. The dishes take more than getting used to. Banana with balsamic is not for everyone. Neither are gray, homemade jams made from nonsensical fruit combinations and strange, rock-hard grain rolls or various, also gray spreads. Fresh rolls, a boiled egg, a bit of cheese, fresh OJ, fresh milk and muesli and decent strawberry jam could have been included, I think.The crowning glory is when the hostess feels the need to “explain” the food on offer in a rude manner.It's a shame actually.All in all, we had a great time even if the weather didn't really cooperate. We would also like to recommend the villa, especially for guests without a car. However, it is better not to book breakfast too.
