Very unusual location!You should have seen it.The elevator alone, which was built (blasted) into the bare rock, is worth the trip.You can book the castle for celebrations.And from time to time there are events there too.

Unfortunately you don't see much outside of the tour but what you can see is beautiful.I can't rate the hotel because we didn't visit it

Went on a guided tour. A good 1 1/4 hours long and free of charge (no donations for the preservation of the castle are welcome). It was really great and interesting. Had a coffee in the café beforehand. There were 2 young waitresses there who were nice and friendly, but unfortunately not well organized. We had to wait a long time until we were served because with the previous orders (approx. 10 people at the table) they brought each coffee and each beer to the table individually.

The beds are extremely comfortable and the quiet location ensures a restful night's sleep.The staff at Hotel Burg Falkenberg is simply outstanding. The staff are incredibly friendlyand helpful, and you immediately notice that hospitality is very important here. Every wish is fulfilled promptly and with a smile, and everything is done to ensure that your stay is perfect. The professionalism and warmth of the team make your stay particularly pleasant and ensure that you feel well looked after.Breakfast is another highlight of the hotel. The buffet offers an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality products and is lovingly prepared. From crusty bread and fresh croissants to a variety of sausages and cheeses to fresh fruit, juices and coffee - every morning here becomes a culinary delight. The breakfast area itself is bright and inviting, making the morning ritual even more enjoyable.In summary, the Hotel Burg Falkenberg is convincing in every respect. The castle is beautifully restored. It wasn't until we went around it all that we understood that it also serves as a Hotel.

Dinner with killer/crime dinnerWent to the crime dinner at the castle last night.The atmosphere was great, unfortunately there was little signage so we first had to look for where the event was.The actors and the crime thriller were really great and it was a lot of fun to solve the mystery!BUTThe food… oh dear oh dear. Tomato soup from a can, we almost lost our teeth over roast beef and the vegetable variation was more like a carrot variation made up of large and small carrot slices. The dessert looked like something my dog would lose while out for a walk in the morning...it was supposed to be chocolate mousse.The waitresses were absolutely overwhelmed. More than half an hour until you got a bottle of water.Crime Dinner would be happy again, but we will avoid this location in the future.

Super cool, small hotel garni in a real knight's castle with a view over the town. The castle is completely modernized. But the character has been retained. The elevator ride through the well shaft alone is very exciting. A great overnight experience - highly recommended.
