The location is superb. Secluded and quiet. Right on the dike. Non-hotel guests can have a meal there only after 5 pm onward in order to reserve space exclusively for hotel guests. Entrance door needs key card. We did not know so we walked around and access the restaurant from the beach side. Hotel decor is nice with a purple tone. Everything is clean. There is an outdoor dining part to enjoy fresh sea air and indoor parts with big windows. We were four. Menu was a combination of easy eating like salads and sausages and fine dining of fish and meat. We ordered one main course and one drink each plus two schnaps. The total bill was 110€. The schollen fish and shrimp dish (22.90€) was rather good and sumptuous. Flavor was medium. I found the boiled potatoes a bit sour (old?). Service was okay. Good if you don’t have a high expectation.

We dined in the restaurant twice. Solid home cooking and generous portions are served there, but we personally weren't completely impressed. The entire staff was extremely nice and friendly.The view of the mudflats and the island of Neuwerk is spectacular.

Very nice location, very friendly and attentive staff. The location is great, with a direct sea view, the tables are spread out generously on the terrace and you don't sit like a herring in a can.Drinks came very quickly and the food arrived quickly too. There was currywurst / fries. Delicious. Our dog received a very friendly welcome and there was water for our little one at the entrance. We would love to come back

We come here from Duhnen to eat at least twice every holiday. Very nice staff and you don't even need to talk about the food, everything is incredibly tasty. If you ever go on vacation, you can rent a bike and then go to the Wernerwald

We were there for 1 night.The roomIdeal for a wheelchair user. TOP bathroom. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator, which is not ideal for a diabetic. You won't find a minibar. Overall only 3 stars.The restaurantThe house is a 3 star hotel and not the Adlon. If you want total luxury, you should book accordingly. In any case, we felt very comfortable. 2 incredibly thoughtful and friendly service professionals who deserve 6 stars. The wheelchair was taken into account and the table was chosen and prepared accordingly.The food3 people = 3 different dishesEverything came at the same time and was not only a good choice visually. The taste and quantity were completely convincing. Yes, I should know that at this level the sauce is not made entirely by hand. Convenience is part of it today. If you don't like that, you have to choose a star restaurant beforehand and pay significantly (!) more.All in all, a clear recommendation for the overall package of hotel and restaurant.Let's wait and see what breakfast will be like in a few hours.

Today we unfortunately had a very bad experience in the Wattenkieker restaurant. After a very tasty soup came the main courses. Vegetarian spaghetti Bolognese, panfish and baked potato with sour cream and shrimp.With the baked potato, the sour cream had a bad aftertaste. The very polite and courteous waiter took our complaint and went into the kitchen with the dish. It was said that the dish was good and that it had to taste that way. The managing director also came to our table and confirmed the kitchen management's statement. Our suggestion to remove the sour cream was not taken into account. The message was, either we eat the dish as it is or leave it alone. In any case we have to pay the full price.It is difficult to prove whether the sour cream was spoiled or not. However, reacting to a guest's complaint in this way is absolutely unprofessional. The kitchen and management completely destroyed our previous good impression that evening.

Today we ate on the beach terrace with the children and the service was friendly and immediately brought us crayons and a North Sea picture puzzle for the children, which the children were immediately occupied with :-)We ordered a fish platter for three and a pan fish and were very happy with the food

Service was quite friendly, food was unfortunately relatively expensive but mediocre to bad. Hollandaise sauce obviously not homemade, potatoes and vegetables not fresh, sorry but for such a price I expect better quality...
