We were guests here from September 15th to September 26th, 2024 and felt very comfortable. Room was nice and clean. We were very happy about the attention, such as the bedtime treats that we found on the pillow every day after cleaning, the champagne for breakfast and the daily tips. Breakfast buffet was rich and very good, would be happy again. All in all a successful holiday.

The location is very good, quiet and still a stone's throw from the center. Breakfast was sufficient and everything was there. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back

We appreciate the personal care in the family-run hotel and restaurant. Large, tastefully furnished rooms, quiet but central location of the hotel. Extensive breakfast buffet with something for every taste (we recommend the various fish salt and varieties of matjes).

The location is great, close to the center with restaurants and other shopping options. We booked a small room! Everything you needed was there, the cleaning staff did a first-class job. During the time we had breakfast, all the work was done. Cheers! The storage of our bicycles was also great. The TV could have been a little bigger. At the European Championships we had to be careful where the ball was.Everything was well planned for the owner of the house. Before we arrived we were already called asking where we would stay. We reported at 2 to 3 p.m., but due to traffic we were 5 minutes later. We were greeted warmly and given a brief introduction. At the first breakfast there were 2 light and grain rolls on our assigned table. My wife then politely asked if it was possible to get 4 grain rolls, which gave Mr Thorwarth some thought. He then explained to us that the oval, small plates were for the fresh offerings at the buffet, but they didn't taste any different from the round plates. The nice gesture was the small glass of champagne with every breakfast. A little more variety in the cheese wouldn't be bad either. In our opinion, the breakfast was okay, but nothing extraordinary, as is sometimes written in other applications.Handling the room key is also a bit confusing. When we left the house, we were supposed to hang the room key on the board next to the front door. This meant that everyone in the house had the opportunity to get into our room while we were away.So if you don't mind being entertained by a "little control freak" - which is not meant in a bad way - who sometimes says funny things and likes the sound of chanty music, you're in good hands here.We had the feeling that after we asked for the rolls, we were through to him downstairs, which was also noticeable when we said goodbye, which was only done by his very nice, somewhat reserved wife, even though he was standing in the doorway to the next room and had to hear it that we are leaving.
