A beautiful old hotel with a mixed flair of old and ultra-modern. First of all, I would like to praise the staff in every way and form for their great friendliness. Whether at reception, housekeeping, at the bar, at breakfast, everyone was very, very nice. Our double room with a partial lake view was beautiful. Very modern, with modern bells and whistles that I didn't know before. For example, sockets also have charging sockets for cell phones without the need for the plug head. This meant I could, for example, charge my cell phone and Garmin watch at the same time. Or the great bathroom mirror that you could connect to your cell phone via Bluetooth while you were getting ready in the bathroom. The air conditioning often made noises, as if it was raining or someone was taking a shower. At night the ventilation in the bathroom turned on loudly, so we had no choice but to pull out the room card so that it went/stayed off. But those were the only small, not so nice points. View from the balcony was very, very nice. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast definitely left nothing to be desired, except for the fact that it was a bit crowded. Great view, straight to the water. Swimming pool and sauna very nice, very chic. There is even an infusion at 6 p.m. The only small drawback: a few more loungers in the swimming pool and it would be perfect. In the sauna area near the footbath, there may be a small wall bracket on the wall to hold on to, as the step is a bit high for older people and people with knee and hip damage. Sitting in the foyer in the evening and having a nightcap is very nice. It should also be particularly mentioned that the hotel operates/runs very sustainably 👌It was a nice stay and we will definitely come back again♥️.

Unfortunately we only spent one night there and are very satisfied. The rooms and bathroom are excellent, the service is great. The breakfast was very rich and had very interesting offerings such as kale salad. We felt very comfortable there.What struck us positively was that great attention was paid to environmental friendliness. Plastic is consistently avoided.

Very nice hotel, nice staff and the room was also perfect. The breakfast was great and you can eat well in the hotel restaurant. The swimming pool was great and everything was very clean. What I also think is good is that a lot is being done there for the environment, for example there is a solar system on the roof and no packaged soap, but rather dispensers. We'd love to come back.

We were there for dinner and can therefore not comment on the hotel or room.Ambience is nice, food was okay. Unfortunately, most of the onion and bacon from the fried potatoes were burnt. My noodles were overcooked. Otherwise the food tasted good.

We and our children are always guests of the Kamp family and their friendly team - and every time we enjoy our time there to the fullest.It's simply wonderful there: the location right on the beach, the spacious swimming pool and comprehensive spa area, the spacious rooms, the breathtaking view, the first-class food in the hotel restaurant, which has always been excellent, and of course the friendliness and service orientation of the hotel entire staff. We felt we were in good hands at all times and were very happy to see many of the employees again. For my family and I, the Strandhotel Duhnen is a place of relaxation, a 5-star beach holiday that we enjoy again and again.What is particularly beautiful for me is the deep connection with this place, which has grown over generations. My grandparents spent their honeymoon here back in the early 1930s and later came to the beach hotel with their children on their summer holidays. My parents also continued this tradition and spent many wonderful holidays with me at the Kamp house. The hotel therefore has something very familiar to me and it is always a pleasure to return here.A big thank you to the Kamp family and their great team for preserving this wonderful place and designing it with so much dedication.
