Very friendly staff at check-in, breakfast and dinner. The hotel is ten steps across the small street opposite the restaurant, my room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Everything was there to have a pleasant stay. For breakfast there was everything you needed to start your day of hiking well fortified. In the evening you can enjoy home-style cooking in the restaurant. Everything I ate in the four days was very tasty. All around a good hotel, ideal for hikes and excursions around Bad Suderode.

Very neat and clean rooms with no frills. Despite the clear menu, the menu selection was very good, but very little seasoned. The salt shaker becomes your best friend. Staff very friendly.

One night in a double room with breakfast. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable but also very soft, I like it. You can even bring dogs with you and they will then be accommodated in another building so that it doesn't bother non-dog owners in terms of cleanliness (for those who are really fussy ;-)) and noise. The staff was very friendly. For breakfast you had everything you needed and if something was empty, it would be refilled upon request, even for just one guest. Super!Lunch/dinner is definitely plentiful and we enjoyed it very much. The beer garden was very comfortably furnished. We will come back, then with a dog!

MINUS -5Behavior of the operator, Ms. Winderlich from the Hotel Kehrwieder in Bad SuderodeOn March 12th, 2024 we checked in for the 6th time - we are actually regular guests! She pushed us into an ice cellar that normally accommodates guests with dogs; The room temperature was well below 18' and there was an unmistakable smell of dog!We then turned the radiators from 0 to 3!When the radiators didn't get warm, we set them to 5!Since it still didn't get warm, we informed Ms. Winderlich about it at 7:30 p.m.!She then complained about such a late call and then sent a caretaker who arrived at around 8 p.m.!The caretaker immediately knew what was causing this low temperature and disabled the thermostat controls! He also stated that Ms. Winderlich had already been aware of this problem in the past! He last described the problem to her in January and asked her to take care of it immediately! The corner thermostat valves are clogged and need to be replaced; In addition, the radiators are too small! When asked about this, Ms. Winderlich said that she had already invested enough in the heating! After it got somewhat warm, we tilted a window for ventilation - Mrs. Winderlich then forbade us to do this! She also demanded free access to our room every day!Already on the 3rd day, Ms. Winderlich switched off the contractually agreed free access to the Internet and did not release it again even after being asked to do so!Because of this cold room, we both got sick (fever and chills) and couldn't leave the hotel room or eat breakfast for 4 days!It was also not possible to eat breakfast for the rest of the days due to a lack of appetite!During this time, Ms. Winderlich tried to disgust us out! When asked about refunding the booking we had paid for, she simply said that it was none of her business - this was solely the responsibility of GROUPON!Furthermore, she neither offered the welcome drink nor issued the Harzcard (tourist tax) and handed it over to us!We had booked and paid for 8 days - but left after the 7th day!During our stay we unfortunately discovered that the cozy family hotel had been converted into a flophouse for tradesmen - a lot of loud shouting, stomping in the rooms and loud slamming of doors that never existed before!Due to this behavior, we have asked Ms. Winderlich to do the following immediately within a maximum of 14 days:1. Repayment of at least 5 days due to lost vacation days€65 = €325!2. Payment of the saved breakfasts of €13 x 7 x 2 = €182 to your employees!3. Serving our welcome drinks to your employees!4. Payment of the tourist tax to the municipality!5. Switching off the contractually agreed free internet access for 5 days€5 = €25To date she has NOT complied with any of these requests!Edelgard Laufersweiler and Lothar Krispin
