We were in this hotel last week with almost 40 business people. First of all, it should be said that the location of the hotel on the lake is very nice. The large winter garden, where you can eat meals, with a view of the lake, is also nice. The breakfast buffet was sufficient, but not a 5 star breakfast. There was a lot on offer, but it was more like a 3 star hotel. Apart from a well-stocked fish platter, there were no special features at this buffet. The selection of yoghurt etc. was also very clear; The Bircher muesli, for example, was far too cold to eat with pleasure. The taste didn't convince us either. Everything else was, in my opinion, at best standard. In the afternoon we treated ourselves to a wheat beer and a pina colada. This cost us €22.60! The taste of the Pina Colada for just under €15 reminded me of a ready-made product that you can buy in small 0.2 liter bottles in any supermarket. This cocktail was definitely not homemade. A disgrace for the price! Now let's come to the room we had to move into. We stayed in the so-called garden house, which sounds very romantic at first. However, when we entered this room on a sunny afternoon, we first had to make sure that we didn't still have our sunglasses on. The room was dark and totally overheated. Looking at the so-called outdoor area, we found a tiny strip of gravel with two small chairs and found ourselves directly in front of a large green meter-high hedge. Light definitely cannot penetrate here at any time of the day. Since the room and all the rooms next to and above us (room numbers 800 to 900) had a view of the same hedge, there will be no rooms with a view in the entire building. We were therefore forced to turn on the lights all day long. In addition, there was a footpath running directly behind the hedge and pedestrians could look through the hedge directly into the rooms on the ground floor! As a result, we were forced to keep the blackout curtains permanently closed to avoid being watched again and again. There are no thin curtains to provide privacy. We then turned off the heating to make the room a little cooler. The next day we left the room with the patio door and bathroom window closed. Since we were traveling with a tour group, we didn't return to the room until 12 hours later. The cleaning lady had tilted the bathroom window and the patio door throughout. As a result, the room was completely cold. What was even worse was that the heater in the bathroom was on all the time. That probably explains the energy surcharge on the horrendous bill that later awaited us. The next morning we were presented with a bill for an incredible €500! For two nights! And that even though we came with a group of almost 40 people! As a result, we had to pay €235 (!!!) + energy surcharge and tourist tax per night for this dark room. What a disgrace! Such a dark room is not worth this price in any way! Fellow travelers of ours had nice rooms with a lake view, which were charged for the same price. That too is disproportionate. Even when we raised the issue at reception, we only shrugged our shoulders and pointed out that there was a hedge in front of the windows... Our room was in no way 5 star standard, especially not because of the impossible location in front of this hedge ! The prices in this hotel are simply a disgrace and are disproportionate to the service! Dark, cooled down or overheated rooms, cocktails that seem to be bought pre-mixed, a breakfast that is a little more than mediocre at a horrendous price, unfortunately led me to this rating. Unfortunately, this hotel is not worth its price in any way...

Just not again!!Price performance is not right here at all. The food is not good, especially not for the high prices. And with larger groups you seem to be completely overwhelmed here: some orders were brought incorrectly, the first ones had already had dessert while the last ones were still waiting for the main course...And they don't seem to be able to deal with criticism either: the hotel had my last review deleted

Unfriendly staff, completely unworthy of a five star hotel - especially the restaurant managementAs members of a tour group, we were demoted to second-class guests. Only house guests were allowed to sit in the winter garden. Sorry and what are we?The request to sit in the winter garden tomorrow Sunday and not be covered as part of the tour group was also denied.Firstly, we are not just any tour group (especially not a drinking group), but an industrial club. But this is also irrelevant. We paid for our stay just like the other guests. However, we are not offered the same service. It is also incomprehensible how the management could make the unfriendly person in the building the restaurant manager. This affects the mood of the entire operating staff.I can understand that it might be difficult to find qualified specialist staff in this rural region. But then at least look for qualified managers who can at least teach the employees the most necessary things. No one has ever been trained from constant nagging. The other recent negative reviews are also frightening. My experiences don't seem to be an isolated case. The service is criticized by many guests and will hopefully soon be reflected in the Google reviews. Something must and will change here.Either the management reacts or guests have to stay away. The 5 game menu was good. But it can be better qualified as good citizenship. It is miles away from the quality and idea of a gourmet restaurant! We paid €235 per room plus energy costs, tourist tax and €2.50 EC card payment...
