For me this place was amazing!Every night the food was just up my street! Believe me I didn't want to leave!Some 15 Meter coaches did go up there, however, sign posts say maximum 12 Meters, for obvious reasons.. there is a parking place at the bottom on the main road where you can leave anything larger than 12 Meters.. fortunately we had a small buss 10 Meter bus and left the 15 at the bottom and shuttle the guests up and down, which works great.! I hope I get to go back !

We were there with a large group of 120 students (grade 10). Overall, a successful week, also due to the very friendly and approachable holiday village management. Thank you for the lovely and uncomplicated stay in the Black Forest.

There were bugs in the house and there was a lot of dirt. In some cases the heaters didn't work at all. A lot of it was older

We spent our school trip in the holiday village and unfortunately we were not greeted warmly at all. Apparently they had already had very bad experiences with classes from our city of millions and these were then passed on to us, even though we had never been there! It's a shame that the professionalism of the hosts was lacking... Unfortunately, after an 8-hour journey, your stay doesn't start as hoped :-(The houses are quite pretty from the outside, they are on the hillside and the view is fantastic! However, the interior is very simple and outdated, but everything was clean and any deficiencies were immediately remedied.The walls are thin and extremely noisy and the paths between the houses and to the reception are - especially when it rains - very slippery and dangerous because there are not consistently stone steps/stones as steps and safe, solid railings.The holiday village offers great and numerous excursion options in the area. Nevertheless, we definitely won't come back, there are definitely friendlier hosts here who are happy to have people from Cologne :-)

At first glance the houses were pretty nice, but if you looked around you saw a lot of things that weren't so nice, for example that the shower was moldyAnd it was really expensive

It is in a very beautiful location. It is an accommodation facility with a very beautiful view, as it is both in the forest and at a very high position. We went in the summer, but it was still cool in the evenings. I don't know what the temperature of the rooms will be like in winter. It is located very close to the ski resort. There is also a very beautiful Todtnau waterfall and a suspension bridge right next to it. It is also close to many natural wonders. There are also a few lakes nearby. If you want to stay in touch with nature, this is the perfect place for you.

The houses are from the 70s, but are much more valuable than many new, cheap holiday homes. The holiday village is high up (like many things in the southern Black Forest), but the location and the view of the mountains make up for it all. We also had a car and e-mountain bikes so that the holiday village could be easily reached without physical exertion. Many school trips take place in the holiday village, in which the students sometimes had to walk from the bottom to the top of the holiday village. This is certainly stressful and frustrating for unathletic students. I found the fact that the holiday homes have no WiFi or television to be disheartening and encourages conversations with other people. In summary, the holiday village is a good, affordable holiday and is particularly suitable for hikers, mountain bikers and families. As a family, we always enjoy going here.

We were in the Todtnau holiday village for the third time and definitely not the last.If you expect luxury here, you should go to the hotel and even there you can hear your neighbor showering for a lot of money.For these overnight prices, everything you get is reasonable and completely okay. Facilities have been moderately modernized over the years (kitchenette, sofa set...). Everything including the dishes was clean and in order.The manager couple is very nice, approachable and tries to fulfill/solve all wishes and problems. This wasn't always the case in other DEW holiday villages. Ideal location and starting point for all kinds of activities.The behavior of the students who were currently on graduation trips was annoying. After a short, sharp speech, the problem was solved and we even became friends with some of them and celebrated their birthdays together.Many thanks to the village chiefs for allowing us to move in sooner.

We booked several houses for a family celebration with around 20 people.Construction and furnishing style: early 80s, last investments: early 80s. If the weather is bad, the only option is to go to bed early, as there is neither modern WiFi nor old-fashioned television. However, it is advisable to bring earplugs if there is snoring in the next room. The thin wooden walls are only a visual barrier, but in no way a sound barrier.The "restaurant", like the double bunk beds, is more reminiscent of youth hostels of the past than of modern catering establishments.The only plus point is the view.

I have been there several times with my family and friends.We always felt comfortable. The view is beautiful. There is a lot to do nearby.I think the holiday village is otherwise very well maintained. Of course the houses are not brand new, but the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.We always found the houses to be very clean and there was everything you needed in every house. Communication with the administration was always problem-free.

We spent four nights in the holiday village with our graduating classes.The rooms are clean, the kitchens are equipped with toasters, kettles, coffee machines, etc.The property manager couple are incredibly nice and try very hard to make their guests' stay pleasant.Breakfast was my absolute highlight.Fresh fruit salad, pancakes, scrambled eggs etc.like in a hotel.When booking, school classes should only make sure that they travel in coaches that are no longer than 12 meters.Otherwise, the buses will have to stay down and the students will have to walk upand the journey on foot is very strenuous.The view is fantastic!We had a student who had a foot injury.Thank you, the Hätsch family, for your support so that the girl could travel with us

Where should I start…? The houses are ancient, there are bugs everywhere in the rooms, most things are already damaged, dishes are very dirty, mold in the shower and the water from the tap/shower turns the clothes ORANGE. What really needs to be considered; the windows in the bathroom are visible through!! You can look into the bathroom while someone is showering or sitting on the toilet. Really outrageous. My class and I expected much more than that. The pictures on their website cannot be compared to reality at all. In real life, this is the biggest piece of crap. Many people were disappointed because the pictures did not correspond to reality. Some even had to/wanted to move house because it was no longer bearable. My roommate and I slept on the couch downstairs because “our room” was full of bugs. Many would say it comes with nature, but that's not true. The houses should be neat and tidy despite nature, which they obviously are not. To then expect us to use electricity sparingly and carefully or separate waste is really a lot to expect.
