Regenbogen Born

You can see how much chutzpah and self-indulgence an aloof operator of a campsite can have in Born. The Kiel rainbow empire does not hesitate to increase prices year after year and shows a lot of creativity in introducing additional flat rates. Apart from a few new sanitary buildings and a reception, almost nothing worth mentioning has been invested in over the decades. Unless you think blue LED strips on the partially existing path lighting are worth mentioning. The overall concept seems to be based on getting maximum cash from guests and skimming off profits. Capitalism in its late stages. With all the money they make they will never be able to buy their soul back and for true campers Born has degenerated into barren ground. For many lovers of this once attractively located place, enough is enough!

This campground used to be miles better. A few years ago there weren't these huge holly houses on every corner and blocking everything. But the campsite will notice what it has to offer. Many of the Lehr houses have been standing for several days, in high season. But it's no surprise given the prices!Just don't buy this Mycloud WLAN, it simply doesn't work or if it does, it only works briefly and poorly.

Beautifully located campsite with a very relaxed atmosphere.Everything you could want is there: bread service and kiosk, surf school and bike rental with reasonable prices are integrated. Very friendly staff.Sanitary facilities in top condition.Only the long way to the great west beach is a small drawback, taking at least 20 minutes by bike.By far the best CP this summer and worth the price.

The location of the place deserves a full five stars. Beautifully located directly on the lagoon.This was our third time here, but we will definitely go to a different place next time.The price for 2 nights for 2 people in a camper is an impressive 144 euros.The sanitary facilities are fine.Unfortunately, the overall service is absolutely subpar!The power boxes are few and far between and locked. Anyone who arrives after 6 p.m. is out of luck...Bread rolls late on Sunday morning? Sure, there are! Even still warm...but with the strict warning to please arrive earlier next time because "there are actually no more rolls now".Anyone who doesn't leave the farm on time at 11 will find themselves standing in front of a closed barrier and having to pay for the "late departure" before the bad-tempered receptionist allows the barrier to open.We won't let this ruin our holiday mood.It was nice anyway.... :-)

Unfortunately, we find 70 € for one night (van, 2 adults, 1 child, electricity) to be a rip-off, even though it is generally very expensive on the Darß. We then preferred to spend the night in a parking lot for free.

It seemed like a good decision to head to this camp. Unfortunately, anyone who expects a vacation in the spirit of relaxation may be disappointed and impressed by the fact that parties are also officially approved by the operator. 3 days from Friday to Sunday. Sound from early afternoon until 11 p.m.Good luck to all of you who have false expectations for just under €80 per night.If you are interested in what we were able to experience:A hundred of the youth fire brigade arrived on July 5th, 2024 with, among other things, the heaviest equipment, sometimes driving >40km/h past our tent. A stage was set up and continuous sound was provided.Friday: from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday: early at 7:00 a.m. the entire campsite was allowed to get up together to say “good morning, dear worries.” The entertainment in the evening was disgusting at Ballermann level.Sunday was partly quieter. The sound system was stopped around 1 p.m. Then the hundred staff including equipment were withdrawn.The contact with Regenbogen AG (email on July 5th) was acknowledged with a ticket. No reaction so far.Rainbow AG consciously and intentionally breaks its own house rules.It was only on this holiday that I became very aware that whatever happens, the police or public order office have no control on private property.Once payment has been made in advance, the leverage against greed = zero.

Before I started using the site directly as a camper, I always visited the water sports area and know the beginnings. A lot has happened to keep up with the requirements. Staff absolutely top, a solution even if you arrive late.Sanitary building is also very nice and always clean during my stays. OK. A solution should be found against the smell of urine in the men's toilet 😉. No plots - very nice. The right place for every taste.Absolute peace. New taps and lighting 👍.Only 20 minutes by bike to the north or west beach.So my favorite place on the Darß. Hopefully it stays that way for a long time 😉

Surprisingly few campers at the end of June.

Beautiful natural place. Everyone can find their own spot among the diverse trees. Bread rolls are available in the bakery at the entrance. Washhouses clean. Bring mosquito spray!

The place is very nice and quiet between the trees. You have enough space. The reception is pretty much the opposite of warm, but not unfriendly. But that doesn't make you want a nice vacation.The infrastructure is quite outdated, it seems as if no more investment is being made in the space.For the reception and what is offered, it is the price in my opinion. not worth it. We'll look for something else in the region next time.
