We came there because we had no place to eat for our group of 8 people 🙈 the prices were quite high for 4 schnitzels with fries, a salad with schnitzel, a few beers and drinks and... goose livers 😅 the food was good 👍

The old tenant is back 👍- and I can say: with age, the Zahn'is have gained another tooth. The restaurant is as cozy as ever, the service is very attentive and the food and drinks on offer are simply first-class.

Very nice ambience, nice outdoor area and also very clean and nice inside. Service very nice and benevolent, unfortunately prices and services don't quite match. Mineral water in vital and natural form from an A brand on the menu. Table water is distributed. Difference between table water and mineral water not clear... What a shame! Cordon bleu, hollondaiase sauce not what you would expect unfortunately. Some things from...like Aperol Spritz...but a good selection of wine so no problem.

We went to the Kreuz Post for dinner and our expectations were not disappointed. A totally delicious meal, a carousel for the taste buds in a pleasant atmosphere. Service perfect. We can only recommend Kreuz Post. We'd love to come back.

Be careful, the unfriendly treatment of guests I have ever experienced! I booked the hotel through booking.com. When I arrived at 6:15 p.m. I found the doors locked. After I rang the doorbell several times and no one answered, I called the hotel number. The lady who opened the door for me said I probably didn't ring the bell correctly. Then my data was collected in the style of a police interrogation. When I complained about the way I was treated, I was expelled from the house and had to look for other accommodation in Staufen on an ad hoc basis. While speaking to a restaurateur in the city, I learned that similar incidents had already been reported about the new hotel tenant.

We were guests for a week and were very satisfied.The breakfast was rich, regional and fresh. Wishes were fulfilled immediately if possible. The boss of the house is a person full of warmth and friendliness.The room was comfortably furnished and clean. A halogen lamp in the bathroom was defective and was replaced immediately... Great!We would love to come back...

Very cozy hotel, here you can sit comfortably outside the cafe for hours and watch people stroll into this beautiful little town. An exquisite food and drink menu rounds off a visit here to the fullest satisfaction.

Even though the roast goose could not be enjoyed in the beautiful restaurant atmosphere during Corona times, it was perfectly packaged to take home. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! I'm already looking forward to better times.

The hotel and the Kreuz-Post restaurant in Staufen gave us an unforgettable, very special weekend. It's just the right size to be served with great attention to detail and from the heart - you can feel it.The price/performance ratio is absolutely appropriate!The furnishings and equipment are lovingly selected, cozy and comfortable.Worth mentioning are the fantastic beds.During the Covid-19 restrictions, breakfast can only be preselected individually via an order list, but this does not affect the scope or quality.On the contrary - my thanks and respect to the Zahn family for the additional effort this creates - we are always completely satisfied with your service!The restaurant is moving right along with the hotel.Price/performance is excellent. The quality of the ingredients and dishes are excellent.There are constantly changing 3 to 4 course menus at a fair price.The courses are well timed and even very rich for this level.Big praise to the boss - it was excellent!We'd love to come back, maybe next time by mountain bike.Thanks!

The hotel made a decent impression on the website. In practical use, however, disappointing given the room price: as advertised, there is no parking space at the hotel, only public about 250 m away.The restaurant is very nice, the menu is very narrow and not exactly cheap for what is on offer.The room was very nice, the remote control for the TV was only available upon request - it was well known that it was missing, but it wasn't fixed.The service was a bit arrogant, you didn't feel welcomed in a friendly manner, with the restrictions of corona you should perhaps make a special effort. The whole thing is not recommended at this price level, the price/performance ratio is not right.

Eating out here is a bit more expensive than average, but it tastes excellent. Because we had already eaten there a few times, we knew that, depending on the season, you can dine in the sun. That's why we reserved a table on the terrace at 10:00 am.Upon arrival we are welcomed by the owner who indicates that a spot on the terrace will not be possible. After some objections, we can still eat outside. We also see that other guests offer a table inside if they accept it. This means there will be enough tables available for those who have not made a reservation and who really want to take a seat on the terrace."Outside the menu" you could order a salad with Steinpilzen (porcini mushrooms or pados). A fairly simple dish for which we were charged 30.00 Euro. Double the price we would pay for it. Based on the menu, the average price of a starter is 16.19 Euro. We probably should have asked about the price in advance, but we still felt taken advantage of. So pay attention or, like us, you won't go there again.

We had dinner at the Kreuz-Post restaurant at lunchtime on June 19, 2020.The service was very friendly and accommodating.The food is prepared as you would expect in an upscale restaurant and is of very good quality.We would be happy to come back and recommend it to our friends.
