Oswald's Gourmetstube in Kaikenried is undoubtedly a culinary jewel that takes the senses on an unforgettable journey. Led by chef Thomas Gerber, this restaurant is a real treat for foodies. The service is first class. The staff attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. They strive to ensure guests have an unforgettable dining experience. The experience may not be suitable for every budget, but it is definitely an experience worth having.

We were invited to Oswalds Gourmetstube and were by no means disappointed with the selected menu.Refined dishes, beautiful plate presentations and a taste experience of the finest.Very pleasant atmosphere, stylish and not too stiff.We really liked it all around and can only recommend it.

Four of us ate in the gourmet restaurant. The food was great, definitely worthy of a one-star restaurant. Eight-course menu for €145.00 plus a double greeting from the kitchen, really great.However, there was a lack of sensitivity when it came to service. It started with the greeting and seating by our waiter. I wanted to take a look around the beautiful restaurant because I was really impressed. Then the military command from our waiter: “Now take a seat so we can get started.”With an invoice of almost €1000.00. We also ordered the wine package with the menu (six wines for an eight-course menu?) for around €60.00 per person. It was ok too.However, another €60.00 was added to the bill, which was no longer ok. Statement from our waiter: We also had five glasses of 0.1 liters each refilled.Note: In negligible quantities, that was never 0.1 l. And in general we thought he poured quite a bit of wine.Especially since he (the waiter) also gave us a Peruvian wine (the rest of the bottle).Note: This Peruvian wine was already drunk according to our taste.Digestif, none! He offered us four digestifs. When asked if there was anything else, he replied: "Yes, upstairs at the bar". We should then go to the hotel bar. After some back and forth, he served us something from the digestif menu, and the mood was already gone.All in all, the waiter ruined our good mood and so did the tip.I'm really sorry for such a great kitchen.

The 7 course menu was a culinary experience. Perfectly matched wines for every course by our sommelier Tobias. The atmosphere was harmonious, there was enough space at the table and comfortable chairs, which made the whole thing pleasant. Oswald's Gourmetstube can only be warmly recommended.

I can't cook myself and can't judge the work that goes into the dishes. But I can say that it tasted fantastic. From the starter to the dessert it was really something special. The ambience and service also gave us a wonderful evening.

It was a great evening in the Gourmetstube! Nice, elegant (But not stuffy!) ambience, great food and wine and very friendly service! Absolutely recommended if you want to treat yourself to something special! There were some great surprises with the 5 course menu! Many thanks to the kitchen and service for this highlight! R. The best meal I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. 5 courses and a few greetings from the kitchen made this evening unforgettable. Many thanks also to the great company throughout the evening: a wonderful waitress named Michaela. You made this evening even more memorable with your very friendly manner. Any time again and I can really recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food. Perfectly happy!
