We were booked into Schaffers for a weekend with 2 nights in October 2024 and felt very comfortable. From the room with very comfortable beds to the breakfast and the dinner that we enjoyed in one day, everything was just right. The service is very attentive in all areas, hospitality is really still alive in this house. Thank you for 2 great days. We plan to come back and bring our bikes with us; the Taubertal cycle path leads directly past the house. T&M Weber

The hotel is a large house that goes unnoticed, in a residential area. It is very charming with good facilities and very friendly staff. It has a restaurant, cafe and sauna. It is located in a provincial location, next to a river and surrounding vegetation.

Rooms, interior, restaurant excellent.Ms. and Mr. Schaffers are extremely socially competent.Mr. Schaffers is a world-experienced artist in the kitchen... I am happy to have found/booked Schaffer's. I spent two days in Bad Mergentheim on my bike tour on the Altmühl-Tauber-Main cycle path. Both I and my recumbent bike team had great accommodation here at Schaffer's! The team even had an underground parking space! The room (19) is super comfortable, well equipped and has a balcony facing the garden. Heart, what more do you want?! From the first minute I felt welcome. The boss is a lovely person and the staff is also very courteous and helpful. A fantastic chef conjures up the finest culinary delights and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired! I was able to relax wonderfully in the cozy spa area. Of course, I can recommend Schaffer's and will definitely come back in 2025!Cycling greetings fromMarita Rupp

What a pleasure to spend the night here. Well-being is very important here and you notice that in everything. Just that little bit extra. I think it's a real family business.Had a great meal on our wedding day. The table was nicely decorated and tasty dishes were eaten.

(Unfortunately only!) 1 night booked with breakfast as part of a bike tour.Good communication and information about rooms and service by email beforehand.Upon arrival, we were greeted directly by Fra Schaffer's person at the reception.Received an upgrade to a better room and was asked about any wishes.Me: “Put the bikes away, move into the room and then the sauna”Fr S.: "No problem, the sauna is already running, I'll show you the garage personally - have a pleasant stay!"1 hour later... sauna unfortunately out... no problem, technology just fails sometimes... again Ms. Schaffers took care of it personally... no chatter or referring to employees etc. but: the woman is HERSELF!Slept EXTREMELY well!Next morning...breakfast...all I can say is...BOMB!!!Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette FRESHLY prepared.Buffet at its best... This is my perception/feeling about the hotel:The rooms and hotel are absolutely clean, the staff is friendly, but they all seem to be part-time or temporary workers, some with little expertise, and they seem to want to save money here. The napkins at the table are partly torn, some with a hospital print on them. In my opinion, there is a lot of room for improvement and room for improvement in some areas.

Pleasant stay in Bad MergentheimWe recently stayed at Das Schaffers hotel in Bad Mergentheim and were quite pleased with our experience. The room was perfect, featuring a small balcony that added a nice touch to our stay.The hotel's location is just a 10-minute walk to the city center, making it easy to explore the area. Additionally, the open parking provided was very convenient and made it easy to manage our car, just remember to pre-book 😁The breakfast was satisfactory, offering a decent selection to start the day.Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its comfortable rooms and convenient location.

Both the communication during the booking and the arrangement regarding our late arrival were pleasant and uncomplicated. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is well coordinated, fresh and stocked with regional products. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We also took advantage of the “Trusted Bar” offer and found the staff-free solution for late-night “bar visitors” to be well thought out! The only small negative point: On warm (summer) days, the hotel/rooms heat up quite a bit… Thank you for your hospitality!

We booked a night at Schaffers for a Wincent Weiss concert in the Residenzschloss. Firstly, because we could reach everything on foot & of course because of the good reviews. Our check-in was a little earlier than “allowed” but we asked beforehand and it was immediately ok. The room was on the 1st floor (there is an elevator) and faced the street. It was bright and modernly furnished. The bathroom is glazed next to the bed. There is a floor-level shower and a nice large sink. The toilet is separate. Large windows, a nice big bed, a great couch, lots of storage space, desk, TV & free, well-functioning WiFi. It was super clean & despite being on the street side in a living area, very quiet. The breakfast was sensational. I eat gluten free & dairy free & it wasn't a problem at all. There were alternatives for everything with wonderful service. We had breakfast outside on the terrace, you can look at the water and enjoy the hospitality. It was only one night but we felt really comfortable. The Schaffers family has a great little hotel with great staff & we would come back again and again. Thank you for everything

We and friends stayed with Ms. Schaffers and her husband for five days until yesterday to ride the Taubertal cycle path. I was a hotel guest for the first time in November 2023. A magnificent hotel experience that is in no way inferior to the large hotels in Europe and the world in terms of service and product quality. Ms. Schaffers and her team do a fantastic job. The restaurant is also highly recommended. Star chef level. We will definitely come back😊👍.
